Excellent work, lowest exotic car labor rates I know of. This is where I'd take my car for almost anything mechanical if I couldn't handle it myself. I've seen their body work, it's very good also, & competetively priced.

Excellent work also, Ferrari & Maserati of NE has them do their body & chassis work such as wheel alignment. Bob Hatch is a challenge racer. Prices are somewhat high tho. Used them a couple of times, no question about quality of work.

Small classic panel beaters shop. Dan & Mike Hogan have been doing all kinds of custom body work for years, many prize winning show cars, well known among local antique & classic car collectors clubs. While mostly custom & hot rods, they're craftsmen, & often have collector cars in for body restoration.

If I couldn't do my own body work, would probably have Dan do it. Due to low overhead (shop on same lot as Dan's home), their rates are among the lowest around for this class of work. Often have a backlog of work tho, so can take some time to get scheduled in. Often can squeeze in something small like restoring a door tho. Could make you a door skin if necessary.

BTW, Do you really need a complete re-skin? If it's just typical rust at the bottom of the door, usually it just needs cleaning/media blasting, etching with phosphate conversion, then treating with POR15, and maybe a small area patched. Next level is replacing the lower-half of the door skin. Both will be a lot less $$ than a complete re-skin. Usually the upper door half is rust free, or maybe just needs cleaning/media blasting/etch/POR15 treatment.

Let the shops advise you, Show quallity is a lot pricier than daily driver quality. Difference is mostly in hours of pre-painting hand prep, & post prep polishing. Any of the 3 will work with you on quality/cost trade-offs.

For upholstry /door panel work, I know Hatch & Sons has someone that does it. Not sure if KTR has anyone.

i asked a while back... KTR does not do interior work. They must farm it out to ????

 

There was/is an upholstery shop in Natick MA called Adolph's. He helped me restore an XKE interior many years ago. Work was pristine. Might be worth a call.

 

Do they need all new leather, or would a reconditioning and redying job do the trick?
