I like the 355 wheels, as well as the stock ones. But I ended up voting for the 355's.

I like the standard rims...they are from the right era and fit the style of the car. The others make the car appear to be "mutton dressed up as lamb"! ;)

I usually prefer stock in just about everything, but the 355 wheels look very good. The 360 and 348 wheels don't match very well. The 328 wheels also look very good, but probably not enough difference from stock to be worth changing. I guess a big part of the decision should be how the car will drive. If you track your car, you probably should switch to 355 wheels and more modern rubber because the handling should improve dramatically. If you drive relatively conservatively on the street, then the ride and quietness of the stock tires/wheels may be preferable. I'd like to hear feedback about what the ride/noise difference is in the Mondial after switching to 18 or 19 inch wheels.

The more I look at it, the more I think the 328 wheels look best. Keep in mind that if you have a TRX-rimmed Mondial, they are a lot different than stock.

OEM on the cars they came with. I just don't like newer wheels on older cars. Just doesn't look right to me. i'm just an old school kind of guy.

I prefer the standard/328 wheels they keep in theme with the car.. 360 just look out of place on this older model...

As I read through this thread, I'm wondering if we might apply a general rule of thumb that if you're replacing stock wheels, it makes sense to look at the next (chronological) model's wheels, or maybe two versions newer? I've just purchased 360 wheels for my 348 Spider and I think it makes a huge and positive difference.

The pictures on this thread got blown away in the server crash. Can you guys repost pics of the Mondials with each of the wheel combos, including non-ABS 328 wheels?? (I'm trying to figure out which ones to replace my TRX wheels with! The 240/55 VR 390 tires are now $468 EACH!!!) UGH!

After further research I would like to point out that the 328 wheels really do not have enough offset to mount on the Mondial. The rears stick out about an inch beyond the fenders, which is about 2 inches more the the outside edge of the stock wheel. I don't think these offset differences would be safe, and who knows how they would affect handling.

For those of you suggesting to stick with stock, that would be nice in an ideal world, but if your Mondial has metric rims that require the 240/55-390 metric tires, the only source in the WORLD now is Coker. (Michelin sold the molds to them and no longer makes this tire. The tire is now considered a rare, vintage tire, like the tires that go on a Model T Ford!) Coker gets $460 PER TIRE. You cannot get these tires at Tire rack!!!! (You can get the more common 220 width metrics that the 308s take from Tire Rack, still made by Michelin, about $220 per tire). In my opinion, unless you plan to concourse your car, it makes absolutely no sense to pay this ridiculous amount of money for an outdated tire design just to keep the stock wheels! I'm on the hunt for some 348 wheels. Anyone want to sell me theirs cheap?
