He is worth billions and yet he leaves his car on the street? Two questions, where was his security and why wasn't it parked inside?

he had a wonderful mansion on embassy row that he paid £50 million for, but his wife didnt like it, so he sold it on a year later at over £70 million ! and continues to live in the house that he had. it is not at all surprising that he leaves his car on the street since off-street parking for houses is not that common in town....i see all sorts of expensive machinery parked on the road. what is disappointing is that the theft happened at all....london policing leaves much to be desired....crime rates in london now exceed those of nyc..

Knowing Bernie, this is a ploy to divert attention from his real car, which is illegally parked a few spots away.

I would not want such a thing to happen to anyone. I frequently travel to bigger cities in the United States where parking is scarce. Parking my car on the street side has never bothered me. I would hate for my tires to be stollen because two low life lazy punks think they can earn a quick buck by selling the tires. It is a pain in the neck and a big inconvinience.

Its ironic that Ecclestone made the comment that the thieves likely would not make money from the sale of the wheels.

This comes from a guy who, in post-WWII London, made his living by finding and selling used/disguarded military equipment and motorcycle parts.
