Been following Ferrari closely since 1989 willing them on to be World Champions and we obviously all know what eventually followed. I am looking forward to seeing Ferrari take the fight to Renault this weekend!!
I have had to take a bet on with a mate that Shumey will stand on the podiom this weekend It will cost me £25 if he does not What do you think my chances are ? New car this week ? RAY360M
F1 bores me to tears after being an avid fan for many years. How sad is this:- I have 99% of every televised F1 race on video since mid 1985 to the end of 2004. Watched the first race this year, and it suddenly dawned on my how boring cars going round a track really is, so I haven't taped any this year.
I was going to post exactly the same sentiments. Have never watched a complete race since then, it's just not the same.
that was proved to be faulty steering his best ever race was at donnington in the rain wasted them on slicks
Not a lot he could do about it. The last theory I saw was that the car had bottomed out, thereby losing all the traction. He probably would have survived had the front tyre not hit him on the head
For sheer spectacle, nobody could beat Rosberg, sawing away at the wheel. Or Piquet on a good day - anyone remember the move he pulled on Senna in round the outside of the 180' bend at the 1986 Hungarian GP? Proper car control.
Remember the race between Gilles Villeneuve and René Arnoux. Somebody remind me where it was. They were passing each other on every alternate bend. It was probably the best race ever
First time I've tried to upload an mpg file, so hope it works! Clip of Piquet's move on Senna in 1986.
It was Dijon 1979 and they were battling over 2nd place. Jean Pierre Jabouille (sp?) won the race. Villeneuve and Arnoux were fighting over second spot as Arnoux wanted to make it a Renault 1-2 and Villeneuve wanted to prevent that from happening. I won't spoil the ending by telling you what happened!
