Gentlemen I have been appointed as executor of the will of my late uncle George Stoidi who sadly passed away recently. In his latter years he was forced through ill-health to move to sunnier climes in Southern Spain and leave his beloved Brighton. George made his fortune manufacturing Spas under numerous brand names like Hydra-pool, Dive-pool and Soak-pool. Now to the point of this post, George's will states that his "car" should be sold and the proceeds should be donated to a particular Brighton Retirement home, namely the Stoidi Home for the Frail and Elderly. His "car" is a 1996 Ferrari 355 Berlinetta, F1,LHD, in Rosso Corsa with a Tan interior, IT HAS DELIVERY MILEAGE, i.e. it's unused and totally as new!All UK taxes and duties have been paid. What is particularly special about this car, apart from it's mileage is that it was factory supplied with twin-turbos similar to the F40 and hand controls! It is fitted with voice-activation for all the minor controls, indicators, wipers etc. It also has double-hinged doors to allow easier access from his wheelchair.Alas George was never fit enough to drive it, hence the mileage. I am inviting bids for this magnificent unique vehicle from the kind and generous enthusiasts on F-chat, to help fund the building of a specially designed Olympic size swimming pool at the Stoidi in Georges' honour to be known as the Frail-pool, it will also have a plaque with the successful bidders' name on. It's hoped that the pool will revitalise some of the weaker residents with regular vigorous exercise. Please bid generously! This offer is made on behalf of charity no.212023120
that sounds spectacular, your uncle must have been a rather good customer of ferrari's? BTW, F1 wasn't introduced till 97.
Stoidi being an anagram of what exactly? Damn, I'm too much of an idiot to figure it out. My bid comprises of the standard currency of choice, one pork pie.
