If info on this car has already been posted, pls point me to the link... I couldn't find it.

A friend of mine is serious about this car. Anybody have a recommendatioin for a good (independant) PPI in Miami? I searched and couldn't find this either.

I'm aware of how bad the low mileage is... no need to get into that again. :)

    THX.

It looks like it would have alot more than just 7xxx miles on it. Look at the door speakers with the water stains rolling down the grills and also look at the driver's door very dirty. The driver's seat looks pretty bad for a car with only 7k miles on it. Not sure how much wear would be on a 7k engine but the headers are flaking.

Here is the carfax report on the Boxer, take a look at the last entry. There were no reported milage on the car until the last entry. Look suspicious to me.

FYI, Interesting to compare the wear on the driver's seat with another Boxer claiming 2300 miles and a BIN price of $110K. I'd be concerned about the accuracy of the reported mileage. Also, as someone else pointed out, the intake runners have more wear and tear on them than a 7000 mile car would indicate.

Suggest you have your friend review the service history for the car.

you should always question boxer miles unless it is a one owner car. some of these cars changed hands a good bit in the late 80's add to that the ease of which the speedo can be disconnected....always question the miles.

on the other hand, if well maintained...and btw...not all were...they are great machines and have lots of miles to give.

boxers (save the f-40) may be the last blue chip ferrari. i love to see the asking prices getting so high. while i will hold mine til the burial, it makes me feel better that good /great cars seem very desirable!!

    cheers,

    pcb

7K miles on the current speedo which reads MPH.
I wonder what the reading was on the old speedo which read KPH.

If it is a Miami car, you might want to contact a fellow named Tim Stamford. He is in Ft. Lauderdale and see if he knows anything about the car. If it has been around for a while, Tim probably knows something about it. He helped me out a couple of vehicles I was interested in buying.

    Buyers beware.

This is the SAME eBay seller who had a "wrecked" and repaired Boxer for sale awhile ago. http://70.85.40.84/~ferrari/forum/showthread.php?t=45216

They gave no response regarding email questions about the crash and repairs done to that BB.
