Wasn't sure which forum to post this on but here goes.

Does anyone know if it is possible to fit the clutch from the TR to the Testarossa?

the Testarossa has I believe a twin plate clutch while the TR uses a single plate, I gather it makes for a lighter action

I thought the Testarossa's clutch was heavy until I sat in a mates 512BB but I still think it would make the car more 'driveable' with a lighter action which I was under the impression the TR's was

Sorry for the confusion...you want to fit the clutch from the 512TR to the original testarossa?

It's a consideration yes for when the clutch needs replacing as I do find it very heavy and if there was a way to make it lighter it would be worth exploring

Yes, you can fit the single plate TR clutch to the Testarossa (which has a twin plate clutch). Some Ferrari specialists offer this as an 'upgrade' although personally I elected to keep my car as standard.

There is a small mod required (flywheel??, I can't remember exactly) but KHPC, for example, offer it as a standard upgrade when a Testarossa clutch is being replaced.

Sounds good, but as my clutch has only done under 8000 miles I won't be changing it yet

Yes, KHPC changed my clutch for the TR version when my clutch began to wear. More expensive, but apparently will last longer, at least the way I drive, which is generally GT style.

Last week I returned through the Ardeche in France, taking Norman Foster's Millau viaduct, hit it at dusk with a silvery light shining off the struts. You're so high, you feel like you're flying through the sky. No traffic on an Easter Sunday evening, so took the risk of driving above 100 mph for hour after hour. This mountain motorway rarely dips below 2500 feet. Divine.
