A very simple question - how long will it realistically last? Any owners' direct experience?

I don't do any stupid Michael Schumacher-standing starts, and I am always gentle on take-off: does that help to increase its life?

13,000 miles of somewhat hard driving on mine ... still works great.

I have seen them at 30k miles in very good shape. You can tell the condition visually very easily from under the car.

I would think the gentler you are with releasing the clutch the more it will slip hence more wear, I doubt it will increase its life (I may be wrong).

I had mine replaced as a precaution at 30k... total waste of money, at the rate I was miling out the car (15-18k a year) I'd have probably gotten close to 100k out of it.

But then that's highway driving for you. IOW, Depends how the car is used, but I'd have to think at least 30k miles.
