OK, I've corded the rear Hoosiers R3S04's that I got with my 355, and I had decided to go with the Pirelli D3's.

Found Bob Woodman Tires and they have the Challenge Spec D3 in stock. Great. My question is at $395 each front and rear, are these tires the way to go for club racing, or is there a "Ferrari Tax" for using the Challenge Legal Spec Tire?

For instance the spec front is a 235 and if a 245 could be squeezed in, it's over $150 cheaper?? Although, this particular tire shows only to be available in D5 and D6 compounds.

Any advice also appreciated about heat cycling and wearing tendancies.

    Thanks.

You can get Scrubs if you dont want to buy stickers.

Much cheaper and should last a race weekend.

Go Cheap! I run 245 645 18 front and 305 645 18 rear on 355C wheels on a 348. They work fine...don't pay the Ferrari tax. Dunlops fit and goodyears fit the rear Yokos fit but I don't know where to get them.

Bob Woodman has those as well. I'm not sure if they have the rear sizes though.
