Just got mine yesterday. Do you guys leave it in the "A" mode all the time or do you use a different mode? Thanks, S.
I use Logic mode as well. Give yourself a few weeks to become accustomed to the different beeps coming in and where they most often occur. Also keep in mind that Infiniti brand cars, especially the FX series 35/45 will set off your laser whether they are in front or behind you.
Lexus Ls430 does the same thing...It maybe due to the laser giuded cruise control. I use mine in A mode everywhere and have no problem...very seldom the detector picks up x band but readily picks up k for some speedlimit signs and road construction equipment and of course Ka for the police.
I use "L", which is Advanced Logic mode (not the lower-case "l" logic mode). Too many false alarms with All-Bogeys. I suspect that most V-1 owners run in L mode. Note, the car with the LED-like center brake light that I encounter the most setting off my laser detector is the Chevy Trailblazer. --Mike
Thanks for the feedback. I can see that one needs to learn the signals. I will test it tomorrow on a trip from Fresno to Los Angles and back.
ALSO remember you might want to custom program the unit. See: http://www.valentine1.com/lab/mikeslabrpt3.asp
Rural interstate I use the A mode. Most sensitive; longest range. Everywhere else the Logic mode. Bill
