Pardon my ignorance but how many of these 288 EVO's are there and what are they currently worth?

I assume this car is one of the 8 or so protoype 288's aside from the 272 "stock" 288's???

What is that Overtake sticker for?

Is it a joke or is there some technical reason, that the driver can't see what's coming on the right side?

Simply shows the direction to overtake when on the track.

So every car has a sticker like that? So it is a regulation to keep the track day safe then?

I mean Silverstone is so wide and has such a variety of turns that a pass on the right would be possible.

Yes , every car has that sticker. I believe it's a condition on track to overtake on left only. There are a wide variety of drivers & cars so it's safer if everyone follows this rule.

    Understood.

So my next question: Was this sticker necessary in the Evo's case?

Well, everyone's gotta have an inlap.... ;)

Tony, it would be interesting if you ask Peter if Harry's EVO has ever been used in competition, or merely as a trackday toy.....

Amazing. Thanks for sharing. Anyone knows what's the value of these if they were ever for sale? Tony, how did it perform/handled?

    Jon,
i have no idea of value. The car's recently had a full engine rebuild and is running 650+ HP. It goes very well !

Blimey, is that one road registered? If so I'd have thought it a little hardcore for the street.....

I was wondering the same thing. It's a bit strange kind of registration though, maybe dealer plates from Luxembourg? Eddy?

I think the plates of Swaters are from the UK.
I'm not sure, but I guess either Jersey or Guernsey.
I'm saying that because he also owns (or owned) an F50 with a kind of strange plates, I7404 which I also spotted some years ago at Spa-Francorchamps.
From that car I was told she was registered at Guernsey (Canal-Island and
Tax-paradise in the North Sea between France and the UK)
Whether it is street-legal, I don't dare to tell you, I just don't know.
The plates could also be fake ones, but tell me one reason to put a numberplate on the body of a car if it isn't necessary ?
The frontnumberplate of my berlinetta wouldn't also be there if the law wouldn't force me to do so.

    Greetz,

    Eddy

Peter says it was raced 3-4 years ago @ Donnington but prior to that it has been a track day car since '92.
