I have owned my 308gt4 for 21 years and will keep it. It is one of the best Ferraris ever made for driving pleasure.

First Ferrari: My 330 2+2, purchased 11-30-02. Me: 53 yrs. old then. I don't know if it will be my last. Ideally, I would like to purchase a much newer model, such as a 348, to share garage space with the 330. But, that would require building another garage. Quoting Austin Powers: "I'd like a toilet made out of solid gold, too, but it isn't in the cards, is it?"

It's interesting to me that your Mondial 8 was your second Ferrari. What made you choose that over a newer Mondial?

Reason #1 was I got it at a great price (PM me for details). #2 was that I like the first of the series of any car the best as it is closer to the original idea that the designer had. Hence I also bought the 365 when I could have got a 400 or 412. Also the same reason why I want an early 308 GTB rather than a QV or a 328 next. There is just something to the design that is more complete and hasn't been fiddled with. Make sense?

My first Ferrari was a 308gt4 it cost £2000 more tham my house in 1982 have had five others since then as well as 3x Porsche's 1 x E-Type jag 1 x Aston DBS Vantage and not forgetting 20 odd Motorbikes mainly Ducati's Harley's and Suzuki's But nothing beats Ferrari. My current Ferrari is a Mondial 8 but with a 3.2 engine conversion I'm now looking for a 512 Boxer.

as a kid growing up around Dads car lot and salvage yards i was exposed to practically every make of domestic and foreign car while tagging along with dad to check out the trade-ins at new car dealerships and at the salvage auctions.the first Ferrari in our family was purchased in 1969, a 250 pf coupe that was sitting at Valley Dodge in Van Nuys.Dad was a sharp cookie (he still is) who would hit the car lots on sunday evenings to get a step ahead of the wholesale guys on monday morning, but this time it backfired on him cause when my mom saw that PF she got out of our car to look it over, and once she figured out how to start it she took off out the lot.......around 15 minutes later dad and the used car manager were getting worried if it broke down or she stuffed it when she comes blazing in and immediately told him he's buying it...Dad wasnt a fan of foreign cars especially italian and was against it but after a bit of banter back and forth mom drove it home that sunday evening and for the next year and a half that was her driver....until the engine had enough of her lead foot and the valve guide smoke was dads excuse to slow her down......until she spotted that 63 split window vette in the trade in area a few months later.....as for my first ferrari,it was a 330gt 2+2 #5484 which i found sitting at a body shop in compton circa 1984-85.
it needed more than a little attention and had been converted to single headlight.it was while looking for a windshield for the car i went to Lyle Tanner's,who located one for me,and a short time later was crazy enough to hire me on for acquisitions and sales.in between chasing cars around the globe hoping to get there before those "S" guys (sheehan, smith and simon) or other dealers the hours/days/months/years spent absorbing information from the shops huge library of books and Lyle's own extensive knowledge of Ferrari still are fresh some 20 odd years dozens of cars later.as for that old 330 it ended up at Freshamans collection as a donor car and the body sold at his auction a few years back

My first was a '97 355 Spider. Bought it in May of '01 and kept it for 23 months until my 360 came in. Loved the 355, it was such an awesome car.

04 Modena just over a year ago. Walked into the dealership 18 months earlier and put down a deposit. Good thing I wasn't an F-Chatter at the time because I would have read that's not possible.
