    Michelotto modified some 308 to take them racing. I'd appreciate any pictures posted on here from any of these cars please.

    There was a Micholotto 308 at concorso last year, painted in gulf colours. I took maybe 2 photos? May take me a couple of days to find them. PM me to remind me if no other pics show up and i forget to look for them.

    There was one picture in the last issue of Octane, but I tossed the mag before ripping out the pic. Darn. That one was a red street racing car.

    It is so rare that you come across a pic of these cars. I have seen a white rally version in the past.

    Taken at Shell Historics at California Speedway on April 3rd, courtesy of Bill Noon (with permission): (1) 250 GTO chassis 3943 GT; (2) Budweiser 308 GTB prepared by Ray Ramsey Racing for Paul Newman (Gene Hackman was the team manager); (3) Michelotto 308 GTB/M Group B. A second 308 GTB/M Group B was also present and racing as well. Drivers are (1) Tom Price, (2) John Goodman, and (3) Steve Dudley.

    Thanks everybody for all the pictures posted! Also thanks to BigTex for a link to barchetta, which had more Michelotto's.

    I never realized there were that many racing 308s. Maybe one day somebody has the good foresight to write a book about the racing history of this car?

    Anyway, many thanks to all of you!

    The second to last 308 isn't a real 308. It's a homemade thing with a 348 engine.
    The last two pictures are taken at Zandvoort and it's one of three 308 GT/Ms (the last one to be exact, s/n 003).

    You mean the red one is a replicar?

    I'm amazed to see the coffin wheels from the Stratos on the white 308.

    Yes, the red one with the black wheels is a replica. Picture was taken at Spa.

    As far as I know all original 308 GTB/Ms had the Stratos wheels on them.

    Philip, your 308 is probably as close to a Michelotto as any car I know of. Get together with FChatter Mike Eberhardt and finish up your conversion. You'll be zipping by 360 in no time...
    :)

    PS: Reminds me, that I have this model project sitting here on my desk waiting to be tackled.
