I'm thinking of going to Montreal this year. I went in '92 and '97 and I think both times we flew back Sunday night.

Delta has a 5:05p Sunday. Is it feasible to hustle to the Subway at the end of the race, somehow pick up bags and make it through security in time for the 5:05?

Thanks for any advice, especially those who might have done it before.

Your going to have to leave the race early to make that flight. My advice, leave Monday morning if you can.

Well, five votes, all no. Guess I'll try to come back Monday. Thinking back I know in '92 we stayed until Monday, but I really think we flew back Sunday night in '97??

I know from Indy we've flown back Sunday every year, as early as 4:30 one year, but Montreal's a different story.

    Thanks for the advice.

I had a buddy do it--once. We walked out after the race and he got a message calling him home that night. He managed to out-fight for a taxi on the Casino bridge, got his bags from the hotel and made a 6:00 flight. But even if everything goes perfectly for you, a 5:05 is unlikely. Definitely NOT with the train, since the post-race lines to get on board are now about an hour long. If you're going to go at all, may as well relax after the race and catch a Monday AM flight.
