Today I went in to Irvine BMW to see if i could leave a deposit on the new 2006 or 2007 M3... I Guess they said they aren't taking deposts because they don't know how much they want 2 charge for mark-ups. Is this right? shouldn't some people be allowed to buy the car at msrp? i understand if i was a dealer i would do the same but still... shouldnt they have to allow some deposits Even with Mercedes they allowed us 2 leave deposits on models like the new clks and the sl's..... what do you guys think?
Suggested is right.... I'm sympathetic, but the notion that we have a right to buy cars at MSRP unravels pretty fast when you consider whether you'd be willing to pay MSRP for ALL of your car purchases? I, for one, wouldn't hesitate to accept a rebate or discount on a car or truck that wasn't in high demand; so why shouldn't the seller, even a dealer, be allowed to sell the car for what the market will bear????
Does anyone even have any info on the '06-07 M3? Try another.. we're really not lacking BMW dealers in SoCal. -Chris
Let's see, it will probably be like every M3 made since the E30, the factory will crank out too many and the vision of keys and Learjet keep coming to mind...
yes, but ferrari wants a minimum of 10k, with no interest payed, with waiting lists as long as 4-5 years, and then they tell you no more of that model is being made and you are out of 5 years interest on 10k....that could be upwards up of 2k, so ferrari is making money from these waiting lists....if a dealership has 200 people on the 430 list,thats 2million dollars, that they can invest or collect free interest on.....
ferrari takes preferred customers... from what i have heard is that irvine bmw is not even doing that they just said when they get in they will charge mark up depending on the market value....even on the new m5 were the original owners of the enzo allowed to buy at msrp??????
