Here is a little freaky story from today.

My girlfriend and I came home last night and passed out right away, as it was about 3am. So we really did not take a look around the house, just went to bed. This morning I was playing with my cats, and noticed that the picture on the wall (which would be behind the door when opened) was not there. I looked around for a few minutes and found it behind the hall tree.

But the kicker is that we have a door stopper to prevent any damage to the wall when the door opens, and the picture placement puts it close to the door. So 1.) the picture fell at a 45deg angle to the right or 2.) "someone" must have moved the picture. And the cats don't have long enough front legs to push it that far.

Oh, and the picture is head high, so you would think that if it fell, it would just fall over.

BTW, my previous encounter was in the morning, about 11am.

And just to add to the tread..

I've never personally witnessed any sort of ghostly activity, but if there's such thing as a 'curse' I'm a total believer. Everyone who has moved into the house next to my parents has been divorced, gone crazy, etc throughout the years. I think there have been a total of 8-10 different families who have lived there over 25 years and each one has had something 'go bad'.

The family who lived there when they first moved in got divorced, then 10 years later the father shot himself and his daughter. The latest family has been there for a year and it's already on the market again.. I wonder what it is this time, but come to think of it, I haven't seen the son around lately..

I dream about a lot of future events that eventually happen, but I've never been able to harness this for any good use. Usually it's just a 'whoa, I know what you're going to do/say next' feeling.

Sorry, just did a search, after I saw the Out Of Body thread, on Ghosts. My thoughts are there is a huge differance in "believing in ghosts" and actually knowing there are ghosts. Trying to explain or convince someone of ghosts is mostly pointless. Once you Experiance a ghost there is a shift in perceptions.

Back in '62 when I was a kid, my family lived about 200 miles from my grandparents. My grandmother was a very well-read and intelligent woman who had worked pretty hard most of her life. She was a reliable and highly credible person. One afternoon my grandmother went to her bedroom to take a nap. A couple of my aunts and my grandfather were there at my grandparent's home in the kitchen at the time.
After about a half hour she was up from her nap and went to the kitchen to tell the others what she had just experienced. She said she guessed it was a dream, but that it had seemed "real" to her.
Here's what she related to the others:
"I was woken by the door to the bedroom opening and saw your brother walk in". She directed this to my grandfather, who's brother had been dead for some time. She also mentioned how she always closed the bedroom door when she took a nap, but it was open when she woke up. She asked who of the group at the kitchen table had come in ,and no one had.
Continuing to describe her experience she said "He was leading Sonny (my dad) in by the hand. Sonny had a paper bag over his head, but I recognized him because of his clothing".
My dad almost always wore only Levis jeans and a blue cotton work shirt.
She then said to my grandfather "Your brother looked right at me and said 'Sonny is OK now, he is with me', and then they both disappeared without walking out the door".
She then reiterated how real it had seemed, but the only logical explanation was that it was just a very vivid dream.
Later that evening, 200 miles away, a family friend found my dad's body.
He had shot himself in the head earlier that afternoon.
