indicated 315 kph going downhill on the autostrada between florence and rome on a sunday at around 1:30pm. felt solid. but you run out of road pretty fast at that speed.

Gone 174 at DAytona. They time you just before the old turn one, after you've done about 1/4 of the banking. At speeds over 160, the suspension get compressed, you've got your head on the tank, inclined for less wind resistance, your right hand off the bars, holding the triple clamp for less wind. Basically an uncontrolled vehicle.

So, no suspension, you feel every bump. Did I tell you that turn 4 has a good size bump in it? 1st time each you go over that bump at about 160, you know you're dead, bike moves over 3, 4 feet, shakes a little, then goes on its way down the track, much more fun in company though, everybody moves together when they shake their way off that bump.

AMA National next weekend at Sears!!

150 mph in a sweet 550. My only problem was the 550 wanted to go much faster. 150 is fast.

    12 cylinders or what?

140 in my 89 348. Kind of twitchy. I would not want to do a quick lane change at those speeds.

100mph on 280 is a rush. Although doesn't it feel like everyone is doing 80+ already ?

I may have been daydreaming (or may not have been ;-)) but I have seen 190mph on the clock of my 360, I reckon that was at least 175 in reality. M62 Eastbound towards Hull

Z's are awesome cars. The ZXTT has a cult-like following.

And good thign the t-top was on... windows open at those speeds - even windows down, HURTS the ears...
