I like the idea of fixed pricing for majors and unscheduled maintenance items.

I was quoted $2500 to fix two oil leaks over there. The service times schedule indicates 6 hours to do the job, not 25.


I know they WERE the only game in town until now, but 25 hours?

Paul - I'm really not taking sides here, but isn't your 308 pretty drastically modified? Could that be the cause of the difference between the service schedule and the times you were quoted?

 

yes it is modified, but that has nothing to do with changing shift shaft seals and cam seals as quoted by John at $2500. I can get the whole major done for nearly that. i AM NOT THE ONLY PERSON WITH THIS OPINION AS WELL BOB.
