Hi guys, -Newly minted owner from Half Moon Bay, CA. Luv the site and the info being thrown around. ....Noticed no women on the site so far ...any women owners or enthusiasts? where's christy brinkley?
Wussup everybody. This is my first post on this site, but I don't think I can be considered a lurker as I hove finished signing up 5 minutes ago. Anyways, Im 15, live in Toronto, Canada. Obviously I don't own any Ferraris, but I have been a fanatic of exotic sports cars for as long as I could remember. Lamborghini, Porsche, Maserati, but especially Ferrari.
Good day, everyone. I'm a recent addition to the community. Mid-40s, live in Oakville, Ontario, a lovely little town about 30 mi. west of Toronto. Not a F-car owner yet. My preference is for the older cars.....Daytonas, Lussos, TdFs and the like. Then again, I've never sat in any moving Ferrari before - maybe one day. I notice many of the users have something like 'Karting' or 'Formula Junior' below their user names...what do these mean, and where do they come from? I found out what the 'subscribed' means, but this one has me stumped. Also, can anyone tell me if the FCA or the FOC is the more active club in Canada? This issue seems to have been raised before for US enthusiasts, but not here in the Great White North. Also, how likely are owners to look down their noses at enthusiastic non-owners? Regards, neilmac
I hope never. Ferrari is like fine art. It's meant to be enjoyed by all. Thank goodness the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC doesn't make me prove that I own a Renoir before being able to enter. Welcome.
Saying hi, I just joined up. Don't own an F car (I'm 20) but been a fan of them since my passion for cars began My dream car is an F40, but I'm a realist and would settle just to see one with my own eyes haha. I'm looking forward to seeing the Ferraris in the Boston area this summer. Dan
Popped on over to visit and it rekindled old memories so I went ahead and posted a start at bringing them back to life: http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=59372 I'm currently a Porsche driver (Rennlist member ecobb993), but am still turned on by the sounds of an old V12 (even just the starter motor). Hi, I'm Marianne from Hamilton, Waikato, New Zealand. I'm 31 and own my own business which I started with only $100 of my own money three years ago. I have been a Ferrari fan since Magnum PI went on TV. I've been lurking for about two weeks now. I have had a ride in a 2003 360 Spider plus one in a 1976 308GTS. My favourite cars are the 360 Spider and Enzo, but will probably get an older softop before I get the 360. My husband likes the Testarossa. I'm sure Continental Cars know me quite well by now as I'm always going for a look and sit in Ferraris whenever I'm in Auckland. I currently own a red SW20 MR2, and was Area Coordinator for the Waikato branch of the NZ MR2 Owners' Club until Feb '05. Early this year I was lucky enough to get our MR2 Club invited on a NZFOC run. Lets just say the Ferrari Club know my car well! It already featured in an article in their mag last year!
MMMM... Hamilton, NZ. Lamb and caesar salad at Iguana on the High Street. I've done IMAZ twice the last couple of years. You live in one of the friendliest, most spectacular places on the planet. => This weather SUCKS! Spring my a$$! Hello. I'm Jamie from Burlington, Ontario. Car obsessed since birth.
For the answer to your first question, go to http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=52181. Personally, most owners I know (including myself) encourage enthusiastic non-owners. Otherwise we might lose them to the other marques!
I'm Fred from North Carolina. I love fine machinery and "cars as art" so its a wonder it took so long for me to take an interest in Ferrari. I have been visiting the site for a couple of months and have begun my Ferrari education. The knowledge that is shared here is amazing. I stopped flying (turned it over to the pros) and have invested that time and energy into fine cars. I have a 612 on order from FCI that should be in late July. The guys at FCI have been great by the way. They have a quality operation there. I should know. I've been in the car business all my life. I got a lot of help from forum members through PM's on the equipment for my car. Three people who already own 612's were a huge help as were the guys at FCI. I changed my color selection three times. I'm sure they were relieved when Ferrari froze the order. Anyway, I'll share what I know about titles, insurance, purchasing and dealers. I'll also look forward to continuing to learn from the knowledgeable members who frequent this site. Please be patient with the newbies.
FRED! Welcome to the NC crew! We have a very active Ferrari group here, and we'd love to have you join us. Whether you're an FCA member or not (but it's a great organization here locally), we have tons of fun with our cars. We have taken drives along the Blue Ridge Parkway, weekends in Asheville, tech sessions, track days, etc. You won't find a nicer more down-to-earth group of Ferrari fanatics anywhere. Watch the NC forum here on Fchat and www.fca-nc.com for information. You're always welcome to come along -- with or without a Ferrari ! -Daniel
Hi guys, my name is Casey.Im not a lurker, but i figured this was as good a place as any to intorduce my self. Im 15 and have always loved cars. My baby blanket has little cars on it, and my first book i could ever read all on my own was titled "trucks". I have a passion for vehicles like i cant explain and dream of working on exotic or custom cars and/or fabricating parts. I look forward to expanding my knowledge of ferraris and having a good time.
Hello All. I just thought that I'd post up an intro. I live in Atlanta, attend Georgia Tech, and drive a MR2. While looking around the board for pictures (after being introduced by some associates), I stumbled across someone with the exact same name as me which I found rather strange since my name isn't all that common. hint: He owns a 360 Modena Year 2000 F1 I was also flipping through an issue of a New Yorker, and noticed that there is a successful management company out of NY with our last name and wondered if it was the same person...
My turn: I registered about a month ago and live in beautiful Scotland. This place was made for F-cars: winding roads through the mountains and little or no traffic. It's great to see that people of all ages are on here. I'm 34 and bought my car: a 348 GTS a couple of months ago, so is buying a Ferrari the first sign of middle-age? Please tell me it isn't! I'm looking forward to chatting! Jonathan

What's up guys and gals? I'm Fabio, I've live in the Washington DC metro area and I'm an avid Ferrari fan. I'm very much into cars in general and airplanes as well. I don't own an F-car yet, but I sure as hell will someday! I mean... God willing, I will own one... haha. I've already convinced my wife into letting me buy one, now, there's only one minor thing missing... lots of money!! I've seen a bunch of Ferraris over here, especially in Bethesda, MD, and in Georgetown. I remember once about a year ago while having dinner in Georgetown and sitting right in front of M Street, in a period of like 2 hours I saw a 355, a 550 and a Diablo drive by. Needless to say, that was a good day. I'm currently a partner in an Insurance Agency, and I'm also researching another business with that same partner, so hopefully we'll complete the Business Plan soon and we'll be able to launch this new company before the year is gone. Anyways, sorry for the long message, you guys kick ass, I'm learning a lot over here and I'll continue to log in to keep on learning. FabioS.
Hi, im Alex. I live in Ft. Myers, Fl. Im am 15 years old. This is my first post on this site. I guess you can call me a lurker. I love all exotic cars. My dream car is a Diablo Roadster. I hope to own an exotic car someday. Well I will see you around.
Welcome, Marianne! Although originally from Canada, I graduated from CCNZ in '96. While I was in NZ I only saw 1 Ferrari, a Testarossa that was in downtown Hamilton...
what can i say,,,,it was awesome...just turning left onto the ramp was awesome....the sound of the engine starting to begin to scare all the other cars away....yea...but yea it was awesome....mark have you ever experience something like that?
A local owned a red Testarossa until 1-2 years ago. However, the red 2003 360 Spider is often seen around town, especially near restaurants and cafes. I heard that someone in Te Aroha (near Hamilton) owns a Testarossa. By the way, in case you're wondering the Enzo is unregistered and the Auckland owner got an exemption for taking it on the road.
