Dave - I'm around on Sunday (although there's a match to watch at 4pm), give me a call.

Friday meet up sounds good - I've never been before so can someone suggest a good place to meet ? (F Chat tee-shirts will be worn)

There is a good Irish bar in the centre of Le Mans. For those who will be watching the drivers parade, perhaps we can all meet their.

I will try to get together address and map details before we go.

The Irish bar i have in mind for a meet is in Rue Gembetta. The bar is about two hundred yards down on the right hand side as you walk down from Place De La Republic.

You will find Rue Gembetta at the bottom and to the left as you walk or stagger through Republic with the Car Park entrance behind you. If you have gone the correct way, as you turn into Rue Gembetta you will see McDonalds behind you.

hi ben, sorry, arthur .... at the last count, i think there were only five or so registered interest in a topical, le mans t shirt ... i will bump the thread, so to speak to try and rekindle the interest.

The info that JC is on your boat came from me. When i phoned up to book my place on the 2.45 ferry i asked if there was any way at all i could get on the one your on. He had a look and said 'no way, fully booked, your extremely lucky to get on the 2.45', he then went on to metion that Mrs Clarkson and Mr Clarkson were booked on that ferry with the Lotus Owners club, of which Mrs Clarkson is president. So the ferry booking guy told me that, who knows if he'll be bothered to go, but im guessing Mrs will deff be going.

Ok, just stumbled onto this thread and you are all making me extremly jealous!

Unfortunatly my "ride" to lemans this year has pulled out and it looks like im not going to be able to attend! Got my finals exam on the 15th too at 9am which does not help!

Ah well, i hope all you guys have a sweet time down there and you better all take lots of pictures and stuff to make me feel even worse for missing out!

If you see someone with a huge camera bag hitch hiking around the dover area on the 15th at around midday pick me up! lol

I know how awesome it will be! Spent the entire race last year enjoying every second of it! I still have a few avenues to explore which may get me there, not looking too bright tho!

You can get the Eurostar / TGV to LeMans and there is a free bus to the circuit
