Here's a few pictures I took about 4p today. NB 280 in SJ. My hands were shaking trying to find my digital camera. Sorry for the glare. Looked and sounded wonderful. Definately a nervous owner. Enjoy! I wanted others to see. Also posted in NorCal section.

Is that a real 250 GTO? I see a radio antenna on the back... and I don't think the real 250 GTOs have radio antennas...

lol, not any of ours.. it's a z-based car though... our red car is still in many pieces... and doesn't have a hatchback :)
    and has a V12..
The body is getting closer to ready for paint though
Still trying to improve the rear fenders and the nose
Like Pete said, see some pics of the changes and progress here:
    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=51297
it's not ready for the first drive yet... paint will be in next week or so then there's hooking up the injection, getting the clutch sorted out, interior.. etc..
soon though.. I'll keep posting updates

Here's the real deal, my former daily driver and one that now makes me very sad as it will shortly be joining a new owner...

Thanx for posting those Bill, nice to see new pics of originals.. I have quite a few pics of that car, and had never seen those pics... I saved those too :)
If I were in the position to buy one of the originals I would - though I'd still keep our current project - it's fun, probably faster and safer, and doesn't require a 24/7 security team.

I never let the value take away from the driving fun.

I took my little guys to school in the car and used it on and off as a daily driver over the past two-years.

The owner is a great guy and life long freind for being so generous. I wont even start with how much fun I had putting it through its paces in ten or so various races around the States.

Needless to say it will be missed.

    Cheers,

    Bill

    Chelle,

After comparing the original and a Z replica ... I think to really get close you need to change the door frame/glass ... the Z's is to straight up. That is the real giveaway and I imagine easier that changing the front screen, etc.

BTW: No disrespect was ever intended by my questioning that the first car in this thread was yours ... gee, I thought it was a good looking Z based replica , as ofcourse is your one :).

Thanks Michael, but the GTO and nearly all the others are not mine but my company's and my clients.

Both have been more than kind to allow me the use on both the road and track of these incredible machines of momentary passion.

At the moment, my own stable is without a Ferrari... The only Italian in the heard is my family's 600D Multipla (6-seat, toaster on wheels.)

In the past my family and I had the pleasure of owning an Ex-works team 340/375MM, Scuderia Ferrari TR as well as the hodge-podge of production machines ranging from a 330GTC, 2+2, several 308s, a Boxer and even a 400i (big mistake on that one.)

Always looking in barns and under rocks for another lost treasure so who knows...

    Cheers,

    Bill
