Anyone wanna get together for some outdoor target shooting at Duarte Shooting Range? All types of rifles, shotguns and handguns are allowed. Of course, all the banned weapons are not allowed (ugh.. God Bless California....) and no rapid fires.

I'll bring Remington 700 Sniper Rifle (.308/LAPD-Edition) and Colt HBAR Match Target (.223/Civ-Edition M-16). I'll also bring a couple of Marine guys along as the "instructors" of the day. :)

Anyone interested? I know there are several gun collectors on F-Chat.

Nice pistols! I shot a HK-USP45 a few months ago and loved it. Thinking about getting one.

Yeah, I tried both M14s and M1s. I was in a Navy ROTC Armed Drill Team before and we used M1s (just like most other military drill teams), so I know the weapon inside and out. They are beautifully designed rifles.... I love them.

    Patrick,

How about www.oaktreegunclub.com? Great shooting gallery style range. rapid fire O.K. and there is a cool little 5 plate speed knock down timer set-up. Also, a shotgun trap/skeet range. The place is even fairly Ferrari friendly for those so inclined. It has a small diner too and a decent retail store.

Oh, the facility looks really nice!!! How far is it from L.A.? Rifles are okay, too? (looks like it's a shotgun/pistol range)

Does anyone know about the California Concealed Carry Weapons (CCW) Permit? What are the requirements? I have no plan to carry a weapon, but just curious.

So you would recommend Sig's over HK's? I am thinking about getting a new handgun, and thought about a bunch of models, from Colt 1911 .45 to HK MK23 .45, and Glocks, S&W, etc... Out of everything I've tried, I really liked the HK-USP45. I think I should try some Sig's... I haven't tried them. Do you know about the maintainence issues and pricing of the model?

I have had the .45 Sig a while back. The action is smooth. The HK is a better rifle or assault weapon.

As far as Handguns Sig Sauer is superior. Go to the range and try one out.

I used to have a SW4506 as well, Great weapon but heavy and cumbersome. The Sig has a lot of engineering in it that you come to appreciate when firing. Go to the Range.

Ryan, Is your father in Law Enforcement? He struck me as an officer of some sort when I met him.

Patrick...send me a PM and let me know when you might go.
I'll bring my SIGPRO 2340 and let you try it. It is a .40S&W round..in my opinion a good " in between for the 9mm and .45".

I have not been shooting for almost 2 yrs.
