I just did a major service on my car after a ferrari shop screw the motor up.I got the car running fine, car runs very good put it away for about a month,no time to drive it.so last nite started to take it out for a spin,i started it let it warm up then off I went everything was fine for about a mile I stop at a stop sign put in 1st.took off went to shift 2nd would not go into tried to put back into 1st. no such luck.I shut the car off i then tried all the gears no problems all the gears worked fine 1,2,3,4,5 and reverse.ok i thought a fluke so i started the car again put in 1st.took off went for 2nd.and this time it wouldn't come out of 1st.in which i mean easy i had to stop the car and no problem easy as butter,so i started the car again put in 1st.drove back home, got home car stalled, started it again this time i tried to put in 1st gear car stalled. Now the ? I have is what does anyone think could be wrong?.Also the tranny was rebuild with new clutch and pp too.

I sure hope there's oil in your transmission, other than that I don't have the knowledge to help.

I test drove a 348 this week and the dealer said not to shift into 2nd until the engine/transmission oil was up to temp. I was sure surprised how much effort was required between shifts until things warmed up. Hope this helps.

I am not familar with the 348's clutch but it sounds like it is not releasing when you push on the pedal.
Assuming that any safety interlocks will allow it, try starting the car while in first gear with the clutch pedal depressed (parking brake off and someplace where it is safe to drive forward on level ground). If the car tries to drive away when the engine fires then the clutch isn't releasing.
A good flush and bleed of the clutch master and slave cylinders would be a place to start.

I've had the same problem with 1st and 2nd. The dealer seems to think there's something not quite right with the syncro rings.
