great post and to me totally understandable.
I felt the same last year. I have done an limited break at fchat.
4 weeks no fchat! No reading, no posting, no pm`s.
Believe me, the first week was very hard & cruel; I felt like a junkie on prohibition.
But yes, there is a life beside the computer and fchat.
Good decission , take a BREAK and come back when you are ready and relaxed again. We will miss you badly - but I know the day will come you will be back here where your friends are waiting for you.

That post just brought a tear to my eye, as did Robs! I had a Katana wielding Ninja with a deadly PvP reputation, a monopoly on the various rings, bone handled head cutters, other unique items, and led the biggest "wanted" guild on my board.

I also did my TW stints and loved that Ferengi Dreadnaught. I miss joy of planetary defense and invasion that today's sophisticated games haven't been able to duplicate despite their multi player capabilities. Sure, the Star Wars games are great and Earth and Beyond was a modern day TradeWars, but still second fiddle.

I joked with my friends someone should setup a MBBS or Renegade board and run the old school classics. It would be more entertaining than reading forums in my spare time.

Hey Dale,

As you know, "au revoir" and "auf wiedersehen" actually mean "till we see you again". There will be a next time of course, and we'll look forward to hearing from you again one day when the time is right.

In the meantime, go visit Mom in P'cola, spend some more of that great quality time with your son who's growing up too fast and take a few more long drives in whatever you happen to be driving at the time. When you do, be sure to write 'em up in that classy way you always do.

You're one of the guys we all look forward to hearing from.
