Greetings all, I'm moving from NY to Scottsdale; my 348ts will ship in a couple of weeks. I need to have some basic service done(fluids and filters) as welll as the inspections needed for registration in AZ. Any recommendations? How is FoS with older cars? Cheers, RC
Thanks for the public and private msgs - talked to FoS, they will handle the service. Looking forward to exploring the roads of my new home town. Cheers, Rick
They are really nice guys. If you get a chance speak with the Maserati sales manager Gary. He is wealth of knowlege and a great person.
I've heard horrible things about FoS... I'd take the car to Alex Traverso at Exotics of Scottsdale... One of the best in the country apparently.
Jim Summers at FoS is terrific. A great service manager and very helpful. The 348 is really not an older car, rather an older modern car and FoS will be perfectly fine for basic fluid service. Alex Traverso and Alby Falbo in Fountain Hills are the guys to go to with out-of-warranty issues and repairs. No-one better in the valley. But they are popular and it's hard to get a quick appointment, especially for small jobs. But I would go nowhere else for major repairs. FoS handles all of my warrranty issues and things like swapping out wheels/tires on my F40, where they have all the right equipment and can take me in at a moments notice. Patrick, I'd take care about making sweeping generalizations based on hearsay. They can come back to bite you some day.
A few years back, I had the pleasure to meet Alex and Alby at Button Willow. I had fuel trouble with the LM and they spare no energy to help me. They were there with Tim Gendreau and his F40 amd they all went out of their way to bail me out. Super guys in my book ! Roland F40LM
Does anyone have a current phone number for Alex Traverso? There was another recent thread in which someone posted the number, but the URL and phone # were both out of service. Thanks!
Alex number is 480-241-8877 he did all the work on my 360, great guy, does great work, and very fair. FofS does the work on my 458 and they are great to work with also. Can't go wrong with either one.
I will give Alex a try next time my 360 goes in for service. I know everyone here thinks the world of Andy Falbo, but my last major service left several red flags. Several new nicks and scratches in the bodywork, stains in the interior, and some sloppy mechanical repairs.
I agree, different mechanics the last two times I was there. Chipped the paint by my exhaust outlets, trashed my floor mats, and put a small nick in my driver door armrest. Andy is a great guy, but I think he needs to look a little closer at who is working for him.
I've had Andy service my cars for years. Never a problem. Just picked up my car this morning from his shop. The bill came in less than expected, service was done promptly, thoroughly, car cleaned and running perfectly. I would trust Andy and his staff with my cars for any problem, big or small. It is also worth noting that many owners of multi-million dollar cars are happy having Andy look after their prized possessions (like the 250 swb in there this morning). That says plenty.
Alex is the man especially for a 348. I have had my 355 and 328 to him. Could not possibly be happier. If you treat him like a friend... he treats you like one. He is a great great guy. Also, his son fixes apple products... pretty handy to tell you the truth.
