Trolls are from Norway. Little gnoms living in the woods doing goofy and magic things. At least one of them is known to drive a Lambo...
Andreas that is funny!! Remember that photo I posted is what BWS used to post for Gary Green...Maybe Gary and Imperial are one in the same. But at least Gary could be funny with his Threads on how to roll toilet paper. LOL Anthony C. thank you for being logical with your comments.
To both RacerX3317 and Senna1994, thank you both for your kind words. I don't think I deserve such credit, but thank you. Most of us non-trolls are here because we all share a common love for Ferrari, For the short time that I have been here, PSK, Tifosi12 and a few others have had some serious disagreements in the past, and more recently, with racerX. However, it has always been fun talking to all of you and to see things from other's point of view when the dust settles.
Nobody said i didn't love Ferrari, believe it or not, i do, i was cheering for them when they stunk in the 90's. I didn't like it when they tossed Alesi and Berger when they had stuck with the team thorugh all that mess. In my opinion they bought out the old Benneton team As far a MS goes, i don't dislike him either, he is the best of his time, but i feel not the best ever.
Thank you Anthony C., PSK and I had a few disagreements in the past, but it was great to chat with him as he knows his stuff and doesn't speak nonsense. RacerX and I are becoming buddies over here, and Jon K. is great guy. By the way Andreas your favorite driver Eddie Irvine is a hilarious guy and your very cool for keeping these threads open when I can tell you want to probably close them.
THIS IS AN OUTRAGE, MR EXXXOTIC SHOULD BE BAN!!! they should call this section racing/debate... cuz simple questions turn into debates have a nice day, no really!
Thanks, you reading my mind? Yes, I'd love nothing more than close a thread like this. For one because it is always likely to end in name calling and also because it focuses on one single user, rightfully or wrongly, doesn't matter. I know I wouldn't like it if I were the focus on a thread like this. That's also why I'm trying to make it light with some attempts at humor. Let us never take ourselves to seriously. Life is too short. But then there is freedom of speech and I hope EVERYBODY (not just Imperial) learns something from a thread like this. It kinda shows the boundaries of what we as a group of chatters accept and what not. I learn from things like this myself. And I have the priviledge of fixing my words even an hour after I wrote them... Maybe that's the lesson for all of us here: Think before you type. And not: How do I know what to think before I read what I just typed.
I don't think I ever accused you of not liking Ferrari or not being a Tifosi in my posts...if I did or made you felt that way, then I apologize. I too was a Alesi and Berger fan (Except when he was driving for McLaren), and it was such a shame that Alesi never did get the opportunity to drive a competitive Ferrari during his career. I have always believed that he was just as good as MS, in fact, I was hoping that it was going to be MS and Alesi for the 96 season. I don't know if MS is the best ever or not either, I do feel that whenever this topic is discussed, he has just as much right as any other top drivers to be taken into consideration.
I think Alesi didn't want to be teammates with MS. That's when he signed for Benneton. Alesi was fast but he wasn't that great technically. He pretty took whatever they gave him and went as fast as he could without really changing the car.
He should have stayed another year with Tyrell or gone to Williams as his temperment at the time was not what Ferrari needed. Actually MS blackmarked Alesi from staying at Ferrari although he had no problems with Berger as long as Berger was the Number 2 driver. Alesi was quick but prone too many errors.
To me it sounds like Rega. At least according to his old mechanic whom I had the honor of talking to at Imola (thanks Anthony!).
Ronnie Peterson was the same way. It used to drive Colin Chapman mad. When Andretti arrived Peterson became a lot more competitive thanks to Marios great technical ability. Berger had decent ability, and I think Prost probably had the greatest.
I would think JPM is a little more effective than Alesi was, especially when he learned to finish races. I only say this because he's won more races.
One of the many stories from Rega's mechanic was, that they were testing with Lauda and Rega. Lauda was all ticked off about the Ferrari and wanted this and that changed. Then Rega drove the car and came back to the pits and the mechanics and engineers asked him and his only comment would be "La va bene" (she drives well). Anthony, we need to tape/write down the old man's stories.
do any of you utilize the 'ignore' function? you will be unable to see the user's posts. it comes in handy for some trolls. try not to take it too seriously and try not to feed the trolls.
Randy, I use it, but when someone responds to his post, unfortunately I get to see it. By the way did you like the picture of the Troll I posted?
Actually, I "created" the subset of GG "characters." That particular shot is Gary Green's Father - note the "Keep Abortion Legal" button.
Imperial gets under my skin sometimes, but I just began to take his comments with grain of salt. Everyone's entitled to their own opinions and that keeps this forum from being BORING. He's a Tifosi.....leave him be.....at least he tests my blood pressure for free ;-) I still think he's an undercover agent for Bridgestone marketing.
