Excellent post - sadly someone will be along in a minute to tell us all that you are wrong, and that their 308/348/365 will make mincemeat of our puny cars.

heck, my camary just beat a gallardo and murci by over 30 seconds at our local track....a 150hp 4 cyclinder camary with an auto....dont forget, that since lambo doesnt race, their cars stink on the track....and toyota does formula one, so my camary kicks butt!!!!

Coming back to the lap time by the Murcielago.

The times were achieved using race car drivers.

No less than 7 of Britains best drivers.

The Murcielago was voted best driver's car of 2002.

The table of times looked like this:

    Murcielago 1.28.6
    Westfield XTR2 1.29.08
    Porsche 996 C2 130.31
    Mercedes SL55 AMG 1.30.6
    Ferrari 575M F1 1.30.8
    TVR Tamora 1.31.50
    Honda NSX 1.31.85
    Ford Focus RS 1.33.89
    Porsche Boxster 1.34.17
    Lotus Elise 111s 1.35.73

    Regards.

AJ, you just enlightened me about safety. My Diablo and Murcie are going up for sale as I did not consider safety!! I do not want to flip the car and not be able to get out. I thought I considered everything. What a bad choice I've made!!

Fine numbers by the L car. But, take a second look at the competition: Either grossly overweight GT cars, or pure sports cars with prices 1/3 or less of the Murci (and hp #s to match).

Glad some are seeing the light, better yet you can still keep the cars just don't wear your safety belt, who cares about safety it's overrated anyway, maybe you can get thrown clean of the car out one of the glass areas if hit hard enough and you roll while on your way to 7/11 :), no need then to take the effort to kick out the front windshield

What a difference a line on a map makes...

Here in Canada (in Vancouver at least), the Gallardo is selling new or used for MSRP and all of them that come in are out the door in a matter of days. Same goes for Murcielago's.

    What's the deal?

P.S. I guess that KDS's statement that in Canada, Lamborghini's are priced as if there was a kilo of crack in the trunk is true

I would love to see what the Murcielago could do with some sticky tyres, and of course the Gallardo.

    Those times are very good.
