More news. This might explain why the story started with Irvine after Minardi and then attention shifted to Jordan:

Bernie's keen as long as they are not going to a rival race series.

    Hehe.

Imagine a turn around at Minardi. Just imagine it. Wouldn't it be fun?

Paul Stoddart would be gone. That is all I care about. A team under new management would effectively be a new team. So good luck to the new team, but Ferrari will always be better han them. :)

Whenever I am at the race or walking through the pit area, I hope to never see the man. He has abused the sport beyond belief and has harmed F1 more than some people will ever know.

In all fairness he has also kept the team alive. I don't know about the Minardi finances but would think that it is probably costing more than making and every owner has paid for his love to the sport. Just a guess.

The Minardi team has a net loss!

But this is not about Minardi! Paul Staddart has a Net Profit! That is all he cares about.

I can see how Minardi has a net loss and Stoddart a net profit. But: Wouldn't it be his European Aviation company to cover the loss? So in essence he is paying for the team's survival. Maybe not his personal money, but his company's money. No?

Well from what I understand, the company has "non-monetary" gains from being in F1 that convert into profits elsewhere. Paul has also been pullling his fortune out of the company gradually and effectively the company is feeding on itself. This is also partly why he put up such a tantrum of "too much costs" and not being able to complete the new car in time earlier this year.

One more thing to remember is that not all the money in the company is his. He has partners, investors, bank etc. So it is not really his company. He is the head of the outfit but I do not belive he owns more than 50% of the entire group.

Paul keeps the Minardi F1 team for his own profit. I agree that Minardi has its uses in F1. However, Stoddart has abused his powers so much that it has completely overshadowed Minardi's or his contribution to F1.
