Here a picture of a 612 prototype, seen around Maranello last week-end.

    Enjoy it, GTC version ??

The car was fitted with a lot sensors to record datas during vehicle tests.
On the same motorway area were an Enzo and one other 612. Near to paradise ?

I wouldn't read too much into it.
It's probably a car the factory set up to test the Scag for reliability, or maybe they were considering a small change for new ones.

Pre delivery road testing with a protection for the front bumper. Prototype? No.

It may look very sexy in 2 ton colors.

it is not a secret that a version of the 612 gtc is being made. It was presented in geneva this year i think. Dario benuzzi has talked about it and it is available as an option from dealers in italy when you order. I guess the pix is either a test or pre-delivery

2 tone would definitely be sexy, IMO. I saw one at the dealer last weekend. Very, very nice interior. Still undecided on the exterior, but it's growing on me.

Two-tone exteriors is something hicks do with their Ford F-series pick-up trucks, not on gran tourismo Ferraris.

If we're talking about interiors, that's another story.

I'm more interested in this 612 GTC. Is that going to have the same sort of handling package they put on the 575M GTC?

Its already available. I think same stuff as on the 575, probably with softer suspensions setting though.

What is not a secret in Italia is a secret to these American ears.

A 612 GTC you say? Tell us more, if you would.

And thanks F328GTS for this pic of the 612.... I've never seen it from a "real life" angle, always some absurd up close, front headlight shot.....It's gorgeous, so sensuous. It reminds me of this song I'm listening to by Branford Marsalis "The Lonely Swan", very smooth yet full bodied.

    Forza,

The second picture in the post below is of an amazing two-tone vintage Ferrari. I recommend you stop stereotyping certain paint styles just because of their popularity or whether or not they're stock on some Ford pickups. Regular flames can be very lame or very well done... same for two-tone paintjobs. They can be abused, but when matched with the body style the effect is well worth it.

Some of the best styled GTs that ever came out of the factory were two toned.

100% true. Many Ferraris from the 50s had a two tone paint which looked very good in most cases. Ferrari offered a two tone paint scheme on the later 456M series (bi colore).
And not only older Ferraris feature them, many more cars do so. No offense, but a statement that a two tone color is only something to be done to Ford pick-ups tells me that you haven´t seen much of classic cars in general.
