As some of you know, I've been doing some private equity deals on the side, while attending Claremont McKenna College.

Today, I landed on a position at Ridgestone Corporation (www.RidgestoneCorp.com), a private equity firm in Westwood!!!

I'm super excited, as it is a very rare opportunity for someone straight out of undergraduate. I start on May 23rd! If you work in the Westwood area, let's do lunch or dinner time to time!

Yay! It's Friday... End of the first week at work.

I've been worknig 14+ hours a day since the first day (this past Mon.), and so glad that it's 3-day weekend so that I can catch up on sleep. Althought I'm doing long hours, I really am enjoying every single minute of it. It's a really great group of nice people so I'm having a great time.

I've been getting up around 4:30am, and get to work by 6am... then work 14 hours, and leave around 8pm. The investment banker guys down stairs (Merrill Lynch) do longer hours than that so I'm alright - I'M YOUNG! :) (heheh.... and yeah, lots of Red Bull, Starbucks and vitamins)

The commute isn't that bad. I'm not moving into my new condo in Santa Monica until December, so I'll be commuting from Claremont every day 'til Dec. Since I leave home and leave work, before and after traffic hours, it's only 45 mins drive each way, which I really enjoy (I love driving and find the drive quite therapuetic and relaxing).

Also they gave me a recently remodeled office on 20th floor looking west, so on clear day (it's been foggy lately), I can see all the way out to Santa Monica. New office, new furniture, etc. Can't complain. They will be decorating my office (and our new suite) with paintings from the founder's wife's art collection. Really excited about that.

If you guys are in Westwood/Beverly Hills/Century City area, let's do lunch or dinner sometime!
