    I have had to do restores to get oracle to see the DB. Everytime I tried to import I would get data corruption.

    make sure the version on oracle is the same. Including the revision numbers or it will not work correctly.

    I am home now so you can call anytime.

    it isn't a domain controller, nor are your other systems connected to it by any other means other than a mapping of a share, so... nope, zero effect.

    BTW, Randy, it's just something we are going to deal with. We only look at the scanned docs maybe once a day, if we need to verify something, and so renaming the path to the file once a day isn't a big deal. The files are there, they're just not conveniently clickable until we change the path.

    Now, if we were accessing 100 of the files an hour, it would be a problem.
