Finally collected the 308 today and what a car it is!...I just wanted to check out the water temp and oil pressure - former goes no higher than 210 and the latter drops to 35 (IIRC) - sound about right?

Water temp runs between 165 and 195,sometimes creeps up above that in traffic on a hot day,but the fans always hold the temp until the car is moving again.
OP runs 80/85 PST and drops down to around 45 PSI when warm.
Owners handbook states OP should be 64 PSI at,I think,6000/6500 RPM(sorry can't remember the exact RPM).

'Tis difficult to set a benchmark, due to engine condition, oils etc.... as you say the o/p drops to 35, i imagine this is at tickover (900 revs).
It all seems pretty normal to me.
What is the max o/p at 6k revs, no load (check cold and warm)?
I wouldn't imagine the oil temp will rise very quick, but check it out and post the temp, once "warm".
Do you know what oils she has inside ?
Do you know the brand of coolant additive ?
Finally, and most importantly ... does she have carbs ?
    cheers, d

Yes, I checked the book after posting. 35 ish at idle, not checked 6k yet and the water temp shouldn't go above 230-240 says the book.

I havne't checked what lubricants are used, will do when I have time though.

It's a QV by the way

    Thanks all
