Ferrari was testing at Monza AND Silverstone.

Wednesday at Silverstone: Ferrari had Luca Badoer doing set-up work and Bridgestone tyre testing, 23 laps. Rain came and everyone packed in for the day. Rubens is scheduled to test today.

At Monza, Marc Gene ran 127 laps testing aero and Bridgestone tyre programme. 2nd fastest behind Truli

    Never say die!

Jean Todt has something up his sleeve and he is not talking to any outsiders. The presence of the number of Bridgestone analysts and engineers is simply astonishing.

It reminds me of 2003 when Bridgestone decided enough was enough and that it was time to turn it up!

I am very confident that ferrari will turn around this season but sadly it would be too late to clinch the championship.

I got an email from a good friend on the team yesterday. It was simple:

"We will win at Montreal, don't worry."

I was happy to hear similar words from other members of the team too. They are all in good spirits and working hard for a Ferrari 1 - 2 in Canada.

Of course they aren't giving up.

Can you imagine the reaction of the sponsors and the damage to the brand image if they did?

Lets hope they don't sell Red Bull the good engines next year. Kidding!!

I LOVE ferrari. We will however, qualify 9th and 11th and struggle for the lower points scores again. I wouldn't expect MY car to drive well with bald tyres so how can the F2005 beat all oncomers with shoddy Bridgestones. I remember a story about the footballer Kevin Keegan in England. He had sponsorhip deal with a football boot company...the boots were so uncomfortable that he peeled off the labeling from them and stuck it on a BETTER pair of boots so he could still perform. I am thinking Bridgestone/Michelin swapping. Ferrari ARE YOU LISTENING???????????????

You are wrong because Bridgestone is not the problem. The combination of the F2005 and Brdgestone is the problem. it is very possible that if the F2005 had Michelins, it would have the same issues.

i hope ferrari never listen to you. peeling of labeling is an unethical action and ferrari are not an unethical company. I suggest that you refrain from promoting unethical behavior as it does not illustrate your values properly!

There was no agreement! The official response from Ferrari after the testing limitation discussion was that "It is a positive discussion in the right direction". Some of the other teams have forced that as a "gentleman's agreement". A "gentleman's agreement" is a PR term to try and give credibility to something that has no concrete definition.

    Ferrari formaly agreed to nothing!

So you are saying they agreed to something - just not formally? They informally agreed to something?

Informally Ferrari have said that they have won every single race this year. Informally does not matter. What matters is what is on paper. On paper the official line is...

"It is a positive discussion in the right direction"

No gentlemen's agreement. No informal agreement! No agreement!

    End of story!

19 races per season leaves plenty of room to catch up. The only problem would be if Alonso keeps getting wins and gets too far ahead. I hope Kimi and Alonso continute to duke it out, along with the other drivers who were mere also-rans last year and are suddenly competitors.

Michael has demonstrated he still has the driving skill that has made him WDC so many times, especially at Imola where he was devouring Alonoso like a lion devours a lamb, only to run out of laps before he was able to pass. If the team gets the car/tires in harmony, Michael is hungrier than ever to win and will pull out all the stops! I think this is a great season so far and hope Ferarri can overcome the challenge!! Forza Ferrari!!

The testing being done at Silverstone is not specific for the US GP and Canadian GP.

This is a direct quote from Rubens in English (not translated with UK media spin):
“Testing is going well, although the temperatures are very cool. We have plenty to test in terms of tyres, and also in terms of car set- up for the British Grand Prix. There is nothing specific we are doing here for Canada and the USA.”

Everything is fine. If there are 3 podium finishes out of a possible 4 during the North American leg of the series Ferrari should be in fine shape to retain the World Championship.

No promises. I got mine last year. Great story went with it. My friend went up to Schumie and asked him to sign a photo. Schumie says okay. Then asks for who he wanted it made out to.

Mid signature, Schumie looked up and said "Erik is not a girl's name..."

    :)

    Good morning Tommy,

Got this one directly from him last April, along with getting one of my small teddy bears signed. He asked to stretch the flag so Deborah helped me. (I'm the blonde in the yellow shirt.) Obviously, flag is now retired as it has unobtainable signatures. New flag comes out for the USGP. Suffice to say, I was on "cloud nine". Hang in there - you'll have one someday!

And you guys thought I wasn't a MS fan, right?

Thanks Anthony (even if that brings back bad memories)!
