    2001 Y 5000 miles Maranello supplied 1 owner blue tdf blue daytona seats shields red calipers 6cd car cover alarm immobiliser tracker warranty till may 2006 200 miles done since service at maranello may 19th 2005...any bids or opinions of value would be appreciated !

    How much would you put aside to cover warranty costs?
    Then there is VAT on the margin.
    Re-furb costs.
    A pre-delivery service.
    A proper valet.
    Cost of money.
    Advertising/marketing costs.
    There probably isn't a huge percentage of the 10 grand left to call "net profit"

    I reckon dealer is left with about £5,000 on the sale (of 10) after being knocked down plus costs. I think Im being optimistic (from dealers perspective).

    I know when I was selling cars (not Ferraris) the margins ended up being tiny after something broke on every single bloody car I bought.

    I was......a LONG, long time ago! Gave it up 'cos there was no money in it anymore! Or maybe just 'cos I kept buying cars I wanted rather than what the punters wanted!
    Now I do something totally different....and buy the cars I want... Full stop!;)
