Well my buddy was a bit too sloshed to drive his car home from the bar last night so he handed me the keys (much to my delight). His brand new sl55 awaited. I must say for such a heavy car you don't feel the weight at all. The car felt very nimble and quite smooth even at crazy fast speeds.

We hit a nice open stretch of highway so I had to gas it. 65-160 MPH (Indicated, I'm pretty sure this car is limited to 155MPH) came in the blink of an eye. This is what really amazed me. Yes I know the numbers (493hp, 516 tq), but I never imagined this car to be such a beast on the highway.

As a motorcycle enthusiast I've spent countless hours on crotch rockets, and any 600cc bike would be hard pressed to pass this car at speeds over 120.

Really an amazing car and, at least to me, worth every penny of the 130K asking price.

If anyone is looking for a nice daily driver I can't imagine a better car.

yep I really like the sl600 as well. HP is the same as the sl55 (493) but torque is about 10 ft-lbs more thanks to the twin turbos.

I think ya right about the BHP, but the torque figure is a whooping 590ft-lbs, were as the Sl55 is 516ft-lbs.
