congratulations on the new maserati, john. i'm sure having a convertible for the summer will probably be a welcomed change vs. the 550.

    i drove the car tonight.
car is solid, feels fast. firm yet not harsh, can never beat the open air feeling in a summer night. only downside is the lag during shifting, feels like early modeal year 360 F1. hopfully there is software update in the near future.
for the price paid, i will take it over 997 or nsx or whatever in a heart beat.

the masers have really grown on me. at first it was just the quatroporte i loved. then after seeing scotts, jims, and now johns i'm hooked. hope they continue to be pretty sick once fiat pushes new lines.

can't beat the white GS with the blue bottom and lights

VERY SHARP ride Pchop...my first choice for the color as well. Scott is right...the Tubi on his car gave it a whole new dynamic.

Very nice. I'm not surprised you gave up the 550. You are a rag top man all the way.

Did you buy your Maserati clothing ensemble yet?

When we visited Miller's last year I noticed you looking at the Maser while mulling over the 550 to replace the wreck. The car looks stunning in your color (as well as in black) and the Maser interior to me is best in class. Did you ever express what about your "interim" 550 turned you off on this model?.

    Enjoy safely.

Thanks for all the well wishes! Yeah, my better half picked out the car; but I'm still the "boss", she's just the decision maker.

Vinny, I "liked" the 550 and I "like" the Maserati Spyder more b/c it's a convertible. Both car I don't "love" as much as my old Blue Chiaro 355 Spider. However, I thought the Maserati is a better financial choice since it comes with a full warranty; in an event of POS workmanship, there's no out of the pocket expenses for me.

Anyway, the car is tight, relatively fast and I know I will enjoy many topless days.

Anyone interested in this car, I will start a "wait list" for mid Oct delivery ;)

    Ouch!!!

    Pchop,
Best of luck with the new ride - looking forward to going on a run with you and the Maserati bc would love to know which car is faster Maserati/355. The magazine and manufacturer numbers say they are the same.

Thanks again for hooking everyone up with an awesome go-karting day.

Who cares... why is it some people have to bring others down with this kind of banter now and then? Let the guy enjoy his new car! Its a sweet looking car, enjoy it while you have it. Whatever your resale value may be. Good luck.
