I think i've changed my mind after watching CBS's coverage of the Canadian GP about speed channel. While i still don't wanna see dogs playing poker while wearing nascar jackets, it's still better to get the proper coverage that a race series of the magnitiude of F1 deseves, even if we have to wait for speed to preempt nascar tv to do it. If CBS took over i'd kill myself.

Lol, ok then. Oh i have an insurance question. If you don't have any accidents or get any tickets, why don't you get your money back at the end of the year, lol

Thanks, Dean, but I DID start it. Or at least escalated it. See post #2. It's okay if he couldn't come up with anything better.

I don't know, I'm in Texas and I can't speak knowlegably about insurance rates in NY, cause I don't deal with them every day. I know I spoke to an Fchatter who was paying an obscene amount of money to insure his CS, but like I said, I have no working knowledge of the car insurance marketplace in NY.

Ok, how's this, i pay somewhere around 2,600 per year for BASIC LIABILTY. Over 30 with a clean driving record. Figure that one out.

Then quit fighting it. Put your next $200,000 in BRK.A or CB and make money off it.

Back to your first post . . .

I definitely have to agree with you. What I didn't care for was the fact that they had a delayed start of the race - no pre-race and they didn't even show Rubens getting his trophy (they barely spent time showing MS getting his!) I was at the computer watching the race while they were still yacking about various things. I actually sat and watched their coverage when the real time race ended or if I wanted to see something that occurred in the interim. I think they need to do some homework prior to the race in Hockheim. Derek Daly even commented that Ron Dennis was once his boss - he didn't even know what the black flag represented! The dangerous themed, melodramatic commentary needs to be replaced with real formula one racing knowledge. I suppose that it's okay for a commentator to have a favorite and get excited but the outburst about the bogus call on JMP's "smooth-move" was unnecessary. It was soon followed up by some back-pedaling when the realization of the violation became apparent. I did like Ralph Sheehan's comment about the Ferrari 1-2 finish!!! - I don't think that thrilled Kimi.

I sure did miss Steve Matchett's technical knowledge, Bob Varsha's great commentary and David Hobbs comments!

In a broadcast filled with errors, my favorite was when, in the closing laps, they said that MS chasing KR was just like Imola at the end. Hello?! That was FA he was chasing, not KR. The worst thing is, they commentated on that race! Come on guys, it wasn't THAT long ago! Pathetic.

Thye also seemed to hype how close MS was, i don't think he had a chance to get around Kimi but to hear them say it he was right on his gearbox. I was listening to them and thinking he's not even that close.

CBS coverage is so bad its funny. Ferrari 1-2 finish? He doesn't know what a black flag is?

Absolutly no coverage of RB passing anyone? i was shocked to see his name in P3 at the end of the race. I think with about 20 laps to go I saw his name at around P10.

    No post race interview either.

Im so glad SpeedTV is replaying on Friday.

The high point of the coverage for me was when Daly got "beeped" for swearing - I think he said JPM got "scr3wed" by the safety car... CBS beeped it out of the forecast the first time but let it got after that...also had a good laugh when they did the comparative between Nascar and F1 car...sounded that the only major difference between the two was the weight and the PRICE...very entertaining...
