I have an un-opened Kyosho Daytona Comp that I need to move. I pre-ordered 2 when they were on back-order, thinking that I would keep the first one I rec'd and cancel the order on the 2nd. They literally came (from two different vendors) on the same day! Rather than sending the "extra" back, I thought I would preserve it, untouched, in it's original packaging and display the other in my case with other cars.

My wife and I just bought our first house, and we're starting to pack stuff up. I didn't realize just how *many* models I'd acquired over the past year, and rather than packing this one up and moving it, I'd rather see it go to a new home.

    Anyone interested?

Sold! Thanks for the PM - great talking with you. Enjoy the race...I wish I were going!

As an aside, yes, it is the Newman Daytona. I don't know when the Thomson car will be out, but I plan on being one of the first to get one!

    Enjoy it.

The Newman Daytona is a revelation.

An award winning model well worth the price.

Agreed! In my collection, it's the *only* model NOT made by Exoto that can sit next to an Exoto and hold its own. Kyosho really made a quality piece with this one, and I'm sure the Thomson will live up to its predecessor's level of quality.

    Aaron,

I know all about the new home bit. Same boat here and I am still amazed at how much space and how many "I don't even remember buying that" statements I have made considering the Ferrari collectibles. Still in the box, unopened cars take up lots of space and every time I look I can swear some Franklin Mint and Hotwheels boxes are growing an inch every week... I wish you many happy years and all the fun and happiness in your new home.

I want the Pozzi car, no. 39
Hope that Kyosho altered all fenders (and some more details), because the comp. no.64 is completely different than the Pozzi car. Hope it has the special spoiler underneath the car.

In the world of scale models the key word is: patience. And don't get your hopes up too high. A lot of maufacturers have announced models that were never released after all.

Fact is that the Thomson version was displayed at the Toy Fair this year. As soon as I hear something I'll post it here.

    Ciao, Peter

p.s. s/n 14407 did have Thomson livery once but I guess Tom means the red with blue stripes as it is today.
