This would be great for me because as of this past Tuesday, I'M A NEW DAD!!!!

Not sure if I feel comfortable leaving the wife at home with a new baby this soon though (TRANSLATION: Don't think the wife will let me go :) )

I have good luck with events Evan is involved with, so I want to go, but...

As long as I get some sleep tonight and the weather is good, I'm going to try to make it. If bringing an F-car, do we have to arrive earlier than 11?

I called the number provided and left a message, so I don't know if they will get it before tomorrow. Should I just show up if I don't hear back?

I spoke to Father Dave this afternoon at the show about doing a car show in November. Father Dave is a former IMSA driver/manager before his greater calling. Tom Shelton is a personal friend who trucked in 4 cars as a favor. Nice favor, don't you think?

There would have been a more impressive Ferrari 333 race car present if they could have found the steering wheel. Father Dave did the photos at the Cavallino and printed the posters they were giving out for free!! Some really nice photos. The grounds are a soccer field, golf course like grass. Father Dave had SpeedTV going during the day.

So stay tuned, sometime in November.

    Evan,
Nice to meet you as well. I really like the way you manage to tote both your boys to the car show. The formula 1 driving position of the child seat must make the ride most enjoyable. I can see your kids are already into cars, watch out when they turn 16! Thanks for the compliment on my car. I really like you 84 as well. I thought the event was a lot of fun, and there were a few interesting characters to talk to. Tom Shelton was really nice and I managed to dodge almost all the rain on the ride home (helping me to avoid another round of detailing). Anyway, I look forward to another event at that location.

    Nice 348 :)
But tell me, that little breake light on the engine cover, is that original???
    I've seen them on 94' + but never on a 89'
    Really nice :)

    Thanx
    Paul

If I'm not mistaken, US law required the 3rd tail brake light in the late 80s.

It is original. The US required them starting in 1986. Many imports had clumsy solutions the first few years, such as the porsche 911 with the whale tail that had the third light on a little pedestal to make it visible over the spoiler. Thanks for the complements! I hope to get the little imperfections that bother me fixed before the winter season here. By the way, how do you get the little icons in the text area of the posts, I seem to be able to put them on the title line only?

Bill, re: icons... a smiley face :) is a colon followed by a close parenthesis. A wink is a semi-colon + close parenthesis. Frown = colon + open parenthesis...
;) :( not sure of all the others.
