Ok. Also note your speed at 4k, so we can check gears. Oops, we need to do speed to speed to make it right. How about 30-100, but note your RPM's at 30.

OK: Can't wait to get the results' From my previous experiance I think you may find that at 30mph in first gear engine RPM will be close to 4000 but I will check it.

A.J. One other important point. By using the measured mile markers on the side of the road I have found my speedometer to read about 5 mph higher than actual. I have checked this all the way up to about 80mph. So when I do the run I will take it up to 105 indicated to be sure I am getting as close to a 30-100 run as I can. Other Diablo owners have commented that their speedometers were "optimistic" also. You might want to check yours before you do the run.

Sorry for the delay on the reply Wings.

at the 4k rpm is when its alive. When I take off from 3mph I couldnt beleive how slow it was but thats before I knew about the power band

His Roadster would be slower. 300 lbs heavier, AWD. Those cars were around 4.0 in 0-60, but thats still not sluggish. The AWD is tougher to get sharp off the line, but if you hook up right, it rockets. Don't do it often though, and I don't mean the clutch.

A.J. Have you had a chance to make that 30-100 run yet?

If you want to get some more power out of it I would be glad to help you. I imagine getting another 50-60whp out of this car wouldn't be very hard.

    Kevin,
An extra 40-60whp is really not difficult at all. Headers and exhaust system, intake filters, and an ECU tune for the A/F's will net great gains.

How would you go about that? Don't know what your experience level is with these cars, but when it already has the exhaust work done, not many places you can go from there easily to add another 50-60rwhp.

Well our experience with the F355 was limited and everyone told us we wouldn't get more then 5whp with our headers compared to the stock. When all was said and done we reached a peak of 15whp and improved hp by 25whp in certain points of the RPM range. I've heard of claims of 50-60whp in a Diablo by changing just the exhaust but I've never seen dyno proof so I'm not going to claim that. I'd have to get a Diablo in and look at the factory parts to see where we could imrpove.

With the exhaust if you say 50-60whp then I'm sure 15-30whp is available out of the manifolds, 5-10whp out of the factory intake system, and ECU tuning (Especially after these parts are installed) 10-20whp is probably available. So if the exhaust alone can get 50-60whp then I'm sure 100whp is achievable with all other Basic Upgrades.

    Forza,

    Kevin

Not trying to be argumentative, but 100 rwhp is not possible without going into the engine. Bob has already done the easy stuff, and it probably netted him a decent increase. Beyond that, there are headers, but without going "deep", it ain't going to happen. Show me some proof, I would be happy to be convinced. Oh yeah...he could add Nitrous, that would get it....A lot cheaper than going "in". But Bob isn't going that route. You stated "If you want to get some more power out of it I would be glad to help you. I imagine getting another 50-60whp out of this car wouldn't be very hard.". Taking exhaust aside, how do you plan to get the 50-60 HP? Again, not trying to be difficult, but it sounds like you are saying "stuff", without really having a clue about these cars. The comment that you would have to get one in and look at the factory parts isn't real comforting. You should have that info already, before making the original statement that you made.

I was just saying, the work we do on our customers test cars are 100% free and can be returned back to stock if the customer is not pleased.

As I said in the original statement:

Exhaust:50-60whp as said by one of the guys on here
Manifolds-15whp out of these should be available.
    Intake-5whp
ECU Tuning (Assuming the car is rich)- 10-15whp

So you'd see where it would get close to 100whp. Not claiming we can do this guranteed but for free with a lifetime warranty you can't really argue. But with 60whp through exhaust alone you're already more then 1/2 way there.

I also had a Diablo owner contact me on another forum about a low psi supercharger kit so I will keep you all updated on that if anything is to happen.

    Regards,
    Kevin
