No, he's involved in software, or something like that.....I still don't really have a clue. You wanna talk drugs??? There is a dealer in abbotsford (my hometown) that has, at the young age of 21, a Red Diablo, Red Countach, Green F355, Hummer H2 with 26 inch rims, Viper Srt-10, and a 350Z. I'd say his name, but first off, nobody would know him. haha, and second. I'd be in some trouble. That's drug money, being 28 you have some time to make a legitiment fortune. Obviously this guy seized the moment.

The only software-related Carrera GT owner in Vancouver that I know of is the one that got caught speeding on the North Shore about a year ago. His CGT is a darker silver, charcoal silver to be more precise. ( I don't know the exact Porsche color name)

He looks older than 28 though!

Well, here's a little secret.....if you want to see a LOT of cars before the Sunday event, drop by the Keg Steakhouse in Surrey off the 99, on Friday, around 11:30am...we are meeting some of our Canadian hosts for lunch there.

I expect around 30 various exotic cars, Ferrari, Maserati, Lambo, perhaps a Pantera or two.

    Regards,
    Dave

lol....My wife is Venezuelan and on one trip down there a few years back we were driving along the Venezuelan coastline towards the port city of Puerto La Cruz, her uncle and aunt were in the car with us and down towards the coast line i spotted some huge and i mean huge ( i.e: 10,000 square foot ) ocean front homes and from afar i could make out what looked to be a Ferrari T/R , a Rolls convertible and a Hummer parked out front and, of course a nice yacht parked in the water.

So i turn to my wife's uncle and say " wow, are all these wealthy people involved in the oil industry ? "

He smiles and laughs and says " No my friend, those are bought with narco-dollars ! "

So i say " you mean like these guys are the drug lords ? " He laughs again -
" No amigo - these are just the drug runners , the drug lords live up there in the mountains - with helicopters, jets, and a small army and possibly every nice car you can imagine they have "....

Sure beats working for a living....:)

The show itself on friday is free for the public.

About the super-exotics, I don't know if DaveHanda from Seattle will have one in his group but we are pretty much italian super-exotic free (if we're talking F40,F50,Enzo) here in Vancouver.

If you are speaking of Friday at the Keg, by all means, drop in, introduce yourself and have lunch with us!

And if you mean the car show, you could probably crash that one too, as no one is checking pedigree that close..... ;)

There are a number of "super-exotics" in the Seattle area, but I am not planning on having any of them come up with us.

    So you will have to be happy with 308's, 328's, Mondials, 348's, 355's, 360's (including a few CS's), 456, 612, 575, TR's, 275GTS, maybe even a 330GT 2+2, and a couple Maserati's....as those are one's currently on my list.

Oh, and expect some Gallardo's, Mercie's and maybe a Diablo or two. And a few very cool Pantera's.

    LOL

I would think it's just as hard/easy to make money in drugs as it is in any legitimate business. Even if it's drug money, they are obviously skilled enough to maintain market share and operate profitably while staying alive and out of jail.

    Just playing devil's advocate.

Its a fair bit easier to make money selling drugs. especially if your in the upper end of things. most of the time you don't even have to see the product. you just get crazy profits. there is a lot of the time a 400% markup. and the thing about drugs is its just like cigarettes. your customers are always coming back cause they "need" it.
Market share is easy to keep if your willing to. its not like these people are bidding by laws, so have the muscle to keep people away from your biz.
    much simpler.

i have a friend who is a dealer and he had over 50 grand in the bank at 19.

We can all be rich from working but we have to pay something called "taxes" were as a drug dealer or as I call em "scum of the earth" make all cash money and don't have to pay taxes. Maybe the government should tax illegal money that is seized? I live in West Vancouver and we've had our share of homes been used as marijuana grow up's and in my opinion the drug problem on the West Coast is getting out of control while our Governments both Federal and Provincial hunker down in there bunkers and ignore the problem. They make the working person pay more and more taxes so we can give scum a slap on the wrist and let them walk out of court and continue selling drugs. And of course they have repeat customers because they take a normal person and make them an addict. It today's culture it seems like "drug dealers" are cool because they don't work and they can lease fancy cars. I'm sorry, but I don't have any respect whatsoever for anyone that has purchased a "flashy" car or a "flashy" home using blood money from selling drugs. My comments aren't directed at anyone on this thread, i'm just voicing my opinion.

Funny you say that - in Australia, all drug related convictions result in ALL that person's assets being seized, even if in the name of a family member.
