I really, really, really hope this isn't the last F1 race at Indy. For the last few years, I've become more and more an F1 fan. I've never been to a GP. If they no longer race at Indy, I'll have missed my opportunity. And that's a very depressing thought, given the time and effort (and it does take effort) I've spent following Formula 1. Edit: Another surefire result of this mess: Ratings of F1 related programming will surely drop, and SpeedTV will create even more NASCAB programming to make up for it. It will also be harder to sell advertising during the F1 races and so we're doomed to see even fewer different commercials and the ones they have will be repeated with an even higher frequency!
I dont think it will be the end of F1 in the US.I mean there are alot of sports out there where disgraceful incidents happen and people still watch.Tyson biting Holyfields ear for an example.People haven't stopped watching boxing. Some people might tune out but others will tune in.I don't think you can lose a couple of hundred thousand spectators so quickly.Just a thought if Ferrari,Jordan and Minardi all decided to boycott the race do you think the FIA would have made the changes to the chicane or do you think they would of stuck to their guns?
Serial #'s, Pictures??? (NNO, do you need these in your data base?) Apology accepted. Now, work on that trash throwing attitude and you're good to go! I expect you got caught up in the moment. DM
