?

What would you do if someone gave you $100,000.00?

  1. I'd save or invest it.

  2. I'd spend it, on.............?

Well, I dont really have to worry about mortgage etc. etc, So I think I would go ahead and buy a lovely 355 Berlinetta for somewhere in the 85-90k area.

I would assume that most Ferrari owners would receive checks in that amount or more on a fairly routine basis? If not, IMHO they should not be wasting their money on an exotic car anyway!

Dude, are you sure about the "green/tan" combo? Well, whatever floats your boat.
Do I see a "ka ka ka combo-breaker". LOLOL..

He can outrun you on 2 or 4 wheels, so don't - besides, there's more shades of green than one. Incidentally, I give Art a hard time in our Poligion & Relitics section, but not when it comes to selection of cars and/or motorcycles, fugheddoubit.

As for the subject itself, that's a generous, if not accidental gift of moolah & would achieve serendipity-doo-dah, doo-dah as obligations & upgrades are taken care of as well as promises made, promises kept, all the while bearing opportunity cost and the business of sewing and reaping in mind.

$100,000.00 would get me out of debt. This would free up lots of play money for toys/investment

Sorry tolook a gift horsein the mouth, but 100K 'aint a large hunk of change, even here in Australia. $100K USD would only pay for 1/4 of an F430. Make it a million, so it can at least be enjoyed, otherwise I'd donate the lot to the Salvation Army.

No, the smaller amount makes a better question because then you have to make choices. If it was $100 Million for example, there would be no choices. (Plus it's just not realistic)

i would get out of my debt (less than $10K, so I am almost there), invest about $70k, and put the remaining $20K into my business.

Pretty remarkable statement. Too small to be bothered with? My, you are wealth indeed.

I could find good use for $100,000.

I could find good use for $1000.

I could find good use for $10.

I'd bend over to pick up a quarter on the sidewalk.

Reminds me of an old Joke:

Dom, Darth550 and Urotrash die at the same time and go to the pearly gates. St Peter (or peterS) sees them at the gate and tells them: You guys can all go back to earth on one condition. You must resist your vices. If you give in just once, you will be called back.

Poof. Suddenly, Dom, Darth550 and Urotrash appear on a certain sidewalk in LA. Off to the side is a porn shop. Dom can't help himself, and heads towards the porn shop. Poof! He Disappears.

So now it is just Darth550 and Urotrash. Suddenly, Urotrash spots a quarter on the sidewalk. He bends over to pick it up, and POOF! Urotrash and Darth550 Dissappear.

    $100K would be sweet...!

It would get me out of debt - completely, all debts paid, with still $95K left...! With that, i'd go ahead and go take the DMVs Motorcycle Safety Course... Then i'd go get an black Ninja, an all black helmet and all black riding gear... Then i'd insure it... What does that leave me with...? $85K...?

i think i'd have to take a four day weekend and hit Jersey and take out the Fam... Andrea, Bruce, Gus, Josie and Cleo... :) We'd do it up in grand style... Dinner, theatre - maybe even dinner theatre...!

But one good turn deserves another, so when i come back to Atlanta, i'd find someone who could really use some money and i'd give them a nice chunk of the rest... Some people only make $20K-$30K a year... Imagine how happy they'd be with a whole separate salary for one year... i know when i was making that little, i would've been ecstatic...

    I changed my mind.

Given todays SCOTUS ruling, I will use the 100K to bribe my local municipal government and have them use the eminent domain to take properties below market value, sell them to me, I slap a coat of paint on them --- profit!
