That looks excellent Jaz, what a multi-fasseted garage you can work out with the dumb bells in front of the mirror and play chess on the floor too:D:D

JoeCS is Brilliant, why if I could afford it I'd have him straight round:D

I would love to do the same but where have you put all the stuff that was in there?

Thanks guys :) It turned out well.

Barabus, I'll look out for some suitably large chess pieces ;)

Andy, there are deep floor to ceiling cupboards at the far wall, right across the wall. They are mirrored. (See the work in progress pics.)

What you can't see is that a floored loft was also created, so I've doubled the floorspace, and the loft is all for storage too.

I also took the opportunity to install a "house standard" alarm system along with the rest of the work too.

Can I ask at what sort of cost was incurred creating that garage?

By them mirrors are going to take some cleaning!

What is the floor? Is it painted or tiles? I think i might send that picture over to the wife and see what she thinks :D :D :D

I mean, the washer and dryer can always go in the sitting room!

    Thanks guys :)

The floor is a resin material that gets poured onto a concrete base, but Joe can answer that better than me.

As it's a big space, it actually allows for use as an entertaining space too now. Tell the wife that and it'll be an easy sell ;)

I've not put in tools/lift etc simply because I don't work on my car myself, so have no need for these things.

The full height cupboards are pretty big and contain a cold water tank, pressure pumping system, water softener, freezer and also have space to store ladders etc. The idea was to have everything hidden away to leave a clear space for cars.

I'm looking forward to a personal viewing later in the week. Well done for persuading your wife of the investment potential.

    Ken,

I'll email you tomorrow as I should be home part of the day. See you then.

Persuading the wife of the investment potential of a second sports car will prove "slightly" trickier ;)

Nice work Joe - Did he get to keep the CS too? ;)

When Cal and I finally finish this project and get a place with a garage, we'll be having you over! :)

    Thanks Foxy,

I did try to quickly close the garage door and keep the car, but Joe and his CS were too quick off the mark and he got it out......

    WOW.

That looks fantastic ! How exactly is the floor formed?

How do I get it ? and what's it going to cost me??

(My garage is circa 120 sq. metres)

    Thanks

    Thanks :)

It was a great job by Joe. I suggest you PM him for pricing and more technical details, but basically the material is a resin that Joe's guys pour onto the floor.

With mine, they obviously had to do it in squares to get the chequered effect. The resin is coloured, so the black/white runs right through the floor.

Jas.....soon to have a Ferrari in there too :)
