    Hi.

The time has finally come to sell my F355 GTB. I may just advertise it privately (in Top Marques) but have been thinking about a comission sale at either Foskers of Kent High Performance.

Has anybody had any experience with comission sales with these dealers ?

Foskers is very local to me so they may have the edge but it would be great to get some feedback from anybody who has used these to sell their F car.

I guess one downside is I will be without the car whilst it sits in a showroom.

Also let me know if anybody is looking for a good 355. It is a great car with full main dealer history (GreyPaul),22k, Rosso Corsa, Sports seats, Challenge grill, Sports Exhaust, 2 trackers, Cat1 Alarm.

    Thanks.

    Tony

there seems to have been mixed reviews on Foskers, for my money I'd ask Simon at KHPC to sell it. They don't need to have it there btw, least not all the time. IIRC they charge around £4k plus VAT.

fwiwGuy at Talacrest sold mine within a couple of weeks and I think charged around £3k

I have sold my last 3 cars through Verdi on a commission basis. He makes it all so easy. They collect the car, valet, photos, and drop the car back to you. Then collect the car each time a serious buyer wants to view. All of my cars sold on the first viewing, and the funds transfered straight away. I would strongly recommend.

Do you have any pics of the car? Why not post some details and pics on here.

What sort of commissions are Verdis on for this?
Is it a flat fee or a percentage of the sale?

Thanks for the replies so far.....Much appreciated.

Ken - Yep..will be sad to see it go but I will be back with a 360 within a year or so !

Tom - The car is a 1998 on an R. It is a great car. I waited 7 months to find the right one and got it from Sheffield. I'm not sure what to say on the interior options as I dont know what is standard. I've not noticed anything extra in another 355 though. It has the Crema leather\carbon backed sports seats.

I do have some pics and will post a new thread tomorrow (at work at the mo)

    Thanks so far Guys

Thanks, I'll mention it to him when I speak to him later. Re: the options, I really just meant interior colour/carpet colour etc, I should have phrased it better. :) I think my friend's really after a 99 (wants the absolute newest he can get...) but I'll pass on these details.

The great thing about Karl Verdi, is the flexibility, you both agree how much to put the car up for, then once a buyer has made an offer, and requests of what (if anything) needs doing, you can then have a deal. I have found that Karl is extremely fair. I guess he would clear somewhere in between £1500 - £3000 depending on the car, model and buyer.

I think Rosso Corsa charge £3k which includes a year's warranty to the purchaser.

If anyone needs to hire some heavies for cash/car retrieval, Im thinking of setting up a business offering 'all in' packages including legal advice/fees, after event counselling etc. I think I will charge around 2K per car.

Nothing for the time being. New Business venture and would like to be turning profit before i get back into a costly car. The G spider is ordered and should be middle of 2006, so may wait till then and have that. See what its like as it has an upgraded engine from the G, (didnt like the G when i test drove it at Millbrook) If not then look at CS or maybe even an F40. Deff want something to go to Le Mans in next year !

Just hope the new business works !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hows the 355 ????

Can't wait to see the G Spider.

We'll keep our fingers crossed for the business venture and when I'm in Wakey at the girls then you can have a play in the 355 to keep your whistle wet!

355 has gone green with the amount of greenflys that have flown into me! I think it's time for another round of Zymol!
