You are both correct, however I wouldn't ask these prices if I hadn't seen similar and higher quotes. I don't want to rip off anybody but if prices indeed go up (as predicted) and as I don't find issues 1 and 2 that interesting, why shouldn't I give it a try? If they remain unsold so be it.

    Ciao, Peter

Don´t blow the guy of like this. Early Forzas were rare and becoming even rarer today. Number 2 was sold in very limited numbers (I heard the publisher lost many of them because of a flood), and I have seen this issue #2 for sale on several occassion for USD 160 alone! I think the price bigodino quoted is fair.

You've never priced Cavallino #1 and #2 before, have you?

If you're scared of these prices, I won't begin to tell you what the yearbooks from the 50's sell for and they are nothing more than nice magazines...

nevertheless I find such prices ridiculous, spoken for those who have stayed on the ground.
And what if Forza some day decides to republish the older issues ?

    Best Regards from Germany

What if Ferrari decide to knock out a few more 250 GTOs?!!? Cavallino reprinted issue 1, but the original issue 1 is still selling for big bucks. High prices are all about supply and demand. Personally I wouldn't (and didn't) pay a large amount for early Forzas and agree that the prices are ridiculous, but enough people want the relatively small number that it pushes the prices up. Peter is only offering his at (or even below) market value. Don't blame him!

For those that slept through econ 101, remember:

low supply + high demand = high price

Does some one have issue number 2 for sale / trade ?

That is the ONLY one that I have missing.

BTW - I have the 1976 R&T issue (I think it's October) of the 308 test with Dan Gurney; and almost every issue of R&T until the present :) .

Issue #2 is called 'The Formula 1' issue Summer 1996. I didn't start buying extra copies until issue #4 unfortunately.
These Forza magazines were on the newsstand but you never knew if they will survive or not. There was another Ferrari magazine that printed a 'preview' issue and then issue #1 and wanted you to subscribe. Then after that nothing more printed...
Forza has done rather well improving from a quarterly publication date to a monthly magazine now.
