hmm, I saw a dark blue 360 just like that in Vancouver a month ago. And for parallel parking - I'd much rather parallel park it on the street than go into most parking garages with the 348. hell yes! what's a little tricep and back pain for a safer parking spot.

Wow.. in the last week alone I've parallel parked 4 times in DC, driven in the rain, driven on dirt, grass, and gravel, had bird crap come in through the window, let complete strangers sit in my car and rev the engine, and put almost 1000 miles on it. I'm so ashamed!

... and surely he'll say something like "No idea pal, i didn't touch your car, do you have a witness? .... I wondered who had written my licence No down on a scappy bit of paper and put it under my windscreen... it's ok though, I have it on the front and back of the car already thanks!"

And if you're lucky he might not sue you for slander!

Okay, just to show you guys, I am going down to the Pike Place Market in Seattle this afternoon for my weekly lunch with a buddy. I'll take the 355 spider an parallel park it...will report back any damage, bird poo, etc.

So far it has only been spit on....in my many times down there.

well you hardly have a choice in Italy or France. The narrow allies in parts of SanRemo are fun to go through with the TR. Good spot for double clutch work. ;)

    This one is right...

and if you are uptight and you only own a V8 car, then you'd probably never handle a 12.

For folks who say "Its just a car...park it":

Well, not exactly true. I NEVER park it anywhere I can't continuously see it. And I wouldn't park it in a mall, or parrallel park...

Problem is, lots of folks LOVE to act cool and damage these cars. When I had my 911, it was keyed twice, and folks kept stealing the emblems, valve stem covers, etc.

We live in an inconsiderate society. Several times I was just sitting around in our daily driver (BMW), when someone parks next to me and SLAMS their door into my car. No apologies, nothing. "Dude, its a small dent." I love replying that I will just take my keys and make a SMALL scratch along the side of their car...I mean, "Dude, its a small scratch. Not like you have a nice car or anything."

Someone keys a ford, you pay 300$ to touch it up...no big deal. Who the hell goes out of their way to key a ford anyway? What if your pristine ferrari gets keyed...? 5k$ to paint it, and then a lifetime of explaining why you painted it.

I don't know where most of you folks live, but if I left my testarossa parked in a mall lot, 50% chance it would be vandalized. And quite frankly, I LOVE the fact that my car doesn't have even 1 minute scratch on it (well, maybe just 1 :) ).

It is a car, but also a piece of art... ;)!
