Let's all agree, that in the normal world of cars, the 348 would not be termed as a Classic. An Austin Healey or an original T-Bird or a GTO, yes, but a 348, not for a fair few years yet. In looks and style though, which is where I think the line follows, there is no argument that the 348 was the test bed for the 355 and underneath are very similar... but... Put a 348GTB next to a Testarossa and a 355GTB next to a 360 and tell me which brother looks like it belongs to which sister I shall now shuffle and buy a nice comfy flat cap and pipe for my new found "Classic"
Tillman seems to have got hold of wrong end of the stick, ..who was winging?? I don't want to change a thing!!!!!!, especially the bit about insurance! mine was a thread to discuss WHEN or IF a car should be labelled a 'classic'. being 42 years old, i always regarded classics being 1965 E types, 1968 Aston db6 and that sort of thing. ie OLD cars, not a 10 year old car.!!
I think it was a case of US v UK phraseology that was misinterpreted and he may have thought that you were saying people on here were stupid! Good job wer both frum Yorkshire lad... thick in t' arm n thick in t' head tha knows! and to all our American friends... you can always tell a Yorkshireman.... not bloody muuch tho! (attributed to the great Freddy Trueman, Yorkshireman and cricketer extrordinaire!)
should'nt you be working Burriana!! I am, dead busy!!! I played golf with firey Fred!! my only claim to fame, great fella!! (lads in't US il'not'tunderstand tha nos) By the way, do 355 floor mats fit in the 348??
Anyway forget all that bollox - what about the 348 GTC at NC's for a mere £39,995 - what's wrong with it? If I was buying today - that would be mine in a second!
1pm already? I'm off home now on 1/2 day hols. Should really put Gabby's new sleigh bed up, but as it's sunny, I might just have to find an excuse to drive somewhere! I went to school with his kids Rodney and Rebecca. Rebecca ended up marrying Rachel Welch's son! anyway... back to cars... Don't think so.
Indeed, that's precisely what he said: I'll take your word that the intent didn't match the statement. It sure felt from here that a newbie wandered on to the board and immediately began complaining about the structure. Since this was all hammered out (with very much the same arguments) almost two years ago, it seemed to me somehow disrespectful to the existing community. If I misinterpreted, I apologize. Sometimes the written format loses the nuances of real talking. Take care, both of you.
I'll add fuel to the fire, how about these three categories. 1. Ferrari 2. Fiat with the old man 3. Fiat only So, the 348 still fits in the middle one and the 355 is in the latest one.
No, he didn't, he just said "it SOUNDS stupid", as in, it sounds odd to him, not that Rob is stupid for categorising the cars the way he has. However.... Nice one! You too
did'nt think this thread would go this far!!! but as soon as I get the 348 (next week hopefully) i'll be well chuffed, wether its a classis or not...
