the only problem with a 355B is that they DON'T sale for $50,000-55,000 which is my budget. aren't they, more like 65K ?? I do LOVE the looks of a 348 with 355 wheels though, (Huskers cars) Image Unavailable, Please Login
Perry, Let me know when you're ready to sell the 308. I'll take it off your hands. Love my Mondial QV, but I want a 308 QV to take it's place. Steve
My first Ferrari ws a 328GTS and I loved it at first. Then I bought a 400GT 5 speed . It was after I had the 400GT that I became disappointed with the 328, which I subsequently got rid of because I never drove it. Even though the 328 looked better, the wail of the V12 in the 400 was too much to resist when I went out to the garage for a drive. Once you have a 12, an 8 will never do.
besides the sound and more torque whats the big deal with 12's ? I'd take 328 with a tubi over a stock 12 TR anyday, if I was just going on sound.
What else is there to like about an engine other than sound and torque? Oh yea, the 12s look much better too! Drive a few and your questions will be answered. If I had a $50k budget I would be looking at the TRs and 2+2 V12s and hope for a C4 in that range. Otherwise, I would save more to get a Boxer.
A stock TR (much like a stock 360) is way too quiet for me. You are comparing a 328 with a Tubi to a stock TR though - A stock 328 doesn't sound all that great either - Until they hit the higher RPM's. A 328 with a Tubi vs a TR with a Tubi sounds better at low RPM in my opinion. I like the sound of the TR better once you get moving at speed. Brent who I mentioned in my original post also put the 355 wheels on his 348 - A big improvement in my mind! I love the subtle, flowing looks of the 308/328, but the over the top looks of the TR is what I fell in love with as a kid 17 years ago.
I'll agree with that! After looking at the 12 in Frank's Boxer (or any Lamborghini), the V-8 in my car looks like a lawnmower engine by comparison.
so basically we are saying that a 328 would not be worth the extra $$ but a 348 or a TR would, then just down to personal preference?
