Figured out it was upside down, and flipped it over right after I took the pic. Oh, those are my copy leys, the originals are tucked away somewhere for safekeeping. DM.
Ya know, we don't make fun of your ferret obsession, so don't make fun of the key fob thing, okay? DM
Blanks. And the curved ear pointing forward is to hang on your chino pants. $1500.00, no bidders and half a day to go.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7970904237&category=6762
Humph, I know the're blanks! Bought one from P Ottis a while back. Anyone know if Mike Dunn is still moulding the PF onto these things?
No Sale! The seller could do a lot better with a few changes in tactics. Closing auctions early has serious ramifications... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7970904237&category=6762
Now starting at $1200.00 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4548052688 Although the seller must be thinking that he is preserving his profit level, he is actually limiting it. Starting an auction at $0.99 with No Reserve is gutsy, but time after time history has shown it attracts more buyers and more competition.
Again, NOT SOLD! He should learn from his auction for the paper bag, start it at $0.99 and No Reserve!
since the fob sold for $1800, people think that is the going rate. i beg to differ. i am an active buyer for dino fobs, and $1200 isn't market correct. what are they worth? who can say. but this fob didn't sell for $1500 or $1200. if it becomes "reasonable" i will become interested. until then, let's see what the next one on ebay sells for. i doubt it will be above $1000.
This looks suspicious, is it a real Ferrari factory Dino fob as touted in the ad? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7984254519&category=50431
this is a tuff one. i know about alot of dino fobs, but even this one leaves people stumped. you will notice that john kennedy just auctioned one of these on ebay and even he wasn't certain about it's origins. the back reads "RAGNI ITALY MOD. DEP". many have assumed, that based on age, that this fob is correct for early dino's (206 and 246), but i haven't found anyone that knows for certain. when john kennedy doesn't know for certain, that says a lot. as for fobs in general, i haven't seen this fob available on the open market. other than the two ebay auctions, i honestly haven't seen this fob at all. does anyone who bought a dino new know anything about these fobs?
What is John Kennedy's Ebay userid? I used to buy things from him in the early 90's and thought they were expensive then - now those are a dream
I think my replica of the original is more appealing and classic looking. Image Unavailable, Please Login
i don't know how or when this keyfob was used/produced. here is the original auction that first showed this style of fob: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4551608169&category=42606 up until this auction, i hadn't seen this style of fob before. now this is the second auction to come up and i thought i'd buy one just for fun and to take a closer look. if anyone knows more about this type of fob, please fill us ion with the details.
When you get it home, can you post some good pix? Nice close ups, front and back? I've never seen these, except on Ebay, but I'd like to run the pix by a couple of old school car people I know who might remember them. Dave
dave, are you talking about the recent unknown dino fob or the dino reproduction fob that ajmarton posted earlier in this thread. i haven't received the the unknown fob yet, but i do have the ajmarton fob. shawn
Didn't know you bought both, so, under those circumstances, let's go for broke. HOW ABOUT BOTH!!! I'd like to get a good close look at the one on the leather fob when you get it. How good is the ajmarton job? Dave
to be honest, the ajmarton keyfob is very nice. i bought the original from ajmarton that he used to make the reproduction. the reproduction is the nicest one i have seen. i bought it simply to figure out the differences between the repro and the real thing. i don't know how much the repro will sell for as i think he is having them made one at a time. it doesn't look like something cranked out in mass, it has too much detail for that.
Is this the real deal? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ferrari-246-Dino-factory-key-fob-ICOR-no-reserve_W0QQitemZ200087966875QQcategoryZ34205QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
